your localcounty extension offce should do it.its easy to get signed up.you can always show open class.my son was in 4h but dropped out cause we are always so busy that he didnt have time to fully commit to it.

well 100 of them are golden commitsan the other 200 are all diffrnt kinds.waiting on the pics of them all today.hate buying with out lookin so he is emailing me pics before hand.its 621 miles up there.we are going to start going reg.if we do ok on this load.

Depending on county depends on what is done...out here if it isn't cows, sheep, or pigs it doesn't count...we get two sell places for goats...unless not enough cattle show up then we get a couple fo those slots. There will be monthly meetings and local chapter meeting for your particular group you end up with...usually with a school, or some organiation sponsors it (gives a place to meet)
Lot of opportunity for a kid to get involved at different levels...local, county, region, state, national...great when they let the kids run it and the older ones are being leaders and the sponsors only take care of the logistics and such

That sounds like something that she would really enjoy. She is her daddy's girl and loves animals. We have horses but I don't think they are show quality. Pleanty of thing she can show, hopefully I can get some nice birds out of this hatch if I didn't screw it up.

open class means you are not affiliated with anyone (FFA or 4H) Usually available but depends again on how your county sets up its shows and such...like our county fair is open but not sure about the spring stock shows...I don't think they are...I am perfectly happy being wrong though...open classes also tend to have adults and such in some places...I even get to put stuff in the fair! Me and my buddies are gonna overwhelm it with birds this year...want folks to see the different stuff that is out there
I horse showing there are different classes...some are about the horse...others about the rider...others about the rider and horse...heck...some you don't even ride...they have group competitions...some of the riding is neat check with your county person never can tell what is available in your area...
