It is the wierdest thing. When I put her out with the big chickens she wouldnt come to anybody. She would run as fast as she could away from you. Now she slides thru the fencing to find me. My husband was holding her earlier and everything was fine til she heard me speak then she couldnt get to me fast enough.

That's how one of the EE's I got at POOPS is with me, All I have to do is lift the screen off of the 'brooder' and let her see me.

I had a splash OEGB hen that was the tamest thing after she was a little more mature. She would fly across the entire yard to my truck and then proceed to fly on my shoulder. I sure miss "dovey" as my wife and kids named her.

TJ's NaNa, we cant lose power, i got eggs on day 19, still waitin on a pip. Im glad there still alive, wife accidently unplugged the bator last nite. I woke up an it was at 83Fh, I candled when I got home and my bbs orps that are a week old had embryoes moving so i think im fine. I usualy have trouble bringing my humidity up, now i got it too freakin high in my new 1588 im using to hatch in. Nothing is ever easy!

well, the eggs are in the bator, swinging back and forth merrily...vvverrrryyy sloooowwwly. hopefully I will get something. Supposed to get Peeps in the mail in the morning....

Had a care plan meeting at the rest home today... My mom thought she was going home and started bawling when she found out she wasn't. They have these darn meetings every 3 months... hope I don't have to go through that every three months. It killed me. then she called me at 7:30 happy as a clam and hanging out with her little gang....

Taking migraine medicine and going to bed....

Just went out to put hennies away.... I found out we have something worse than storms...... MOSQUITOS!!!!!

Here are some pics of the latest hatch Mostly NNs in both bantam and large fowl. Most are NNs but there are the occasional feathernecked too. Oh and one blue bantam Malay!

Yes that is the blue Malay at the top. The roo is a bb red and he is in with one spangled hen and one wheaton. In fact the rooster (dad) is out of a wheaton and spangle cross. Genetics, doncha just love it?

Genetics is like trying to read brail for me, it just dont make sense most of the time.

We are getting hammered right now by a storm. The lightning and thunder are going crazy. Had to run outside in a downpoor to get the rottweiler off her chain and bring her in the house. Shes a sweet girl, but she hogs the bed.

well we lost power for over an hour.glad it came back on our quail are hatchin tonite.a;; clear outside we got 15 minutes of light rain now its just nice an cool.hope everyone se of us are makin it ok
