Whats for dinner tonite okies, Tacos sure sound good, not had a taco soup before. How is it made? I think we are falling back on spahgretti and garlic bread again tonite, i love spahgetti but i durn near got the kids burnt out on it. Well not Skyla, she eats and eats and eats an eats. AND she is turning 9 on me tommarow, i cant belive it. Makes me sad. She wants Pizza for her dinner tommarow, she gets what she wants of course

My Angel turns 17 on Friday, man i feel old and im only 27. These kids grow up way to fast.

I need a good yet easy recipe for homemade bread if anyone has one. I want to make rolls and loafs. I love cooking and love my bread.

Hey Les, I was talking over my Red Shouldered Yokahoma project(Breeding to White Leghorn hens) with a friend and he suggested using Red Laced Cornish hens and breeding back from there, are they good layers, I want to increase my egg production along with their size, but retain the Red Lacing in the breast and long tail, what do you think??? How about Red laced white Wyandots?? (are there such???)Lynn (Cubin, anyone else, jump in here, I'm open for suggestions), Lynn

well, my mac ibook is officially history...thats 2 ibooks for doorstops- anyone want parts? maybe trade for a working laptop....

meanwhile- i am on hubby's puter again...with carlas silkies in my lap for consolation while hubby is getting work done on the coop...should be done by the end of the week...can't wait, the girls are watching him work!

am here- fuming over the laptop dying, just tucked the chicks in for the nite, hubby got the deck down for the coop... whatcha up to?? hubby's laptop stays on for about half an hour then i have to shut it down or it does it for me...

Hi HennyP, Ronnie & OKrobin - I'm here for just a second - but have to jump off again - but you're not totally alone - I've been trying to catch up on more than a week of Okie posts - I'm missed you guys!!

It appears that the rain may be over and the "nice" part of spring has arrived, if today was any indicator. I mowed.

Then the Most Exciting part of my day occurred - about which I will now tell you, and I'm sure most if not all of you will be jealous: I saw the new Star Trek movie. I am 17 kinds of dorked out right now. It may take me awhile to come down from this geek high...it was AWESOME!

Stimpy - thanks for posting the Marine monument link. Thanks to you, Al, and all the other veterans and active service military on here who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice to keep me and my family safe.

And of course before I put the new hatches in the brooder, I wanted to clean up the mess that the broiler chicks made of the brooder in the week they were in there (those are absolutely the messiest chicks out there)

I got to talking to a neighbor and need to go finish up while I still have some light. Never did get the rabbit barn cleaned - although I made big ruts next to it moving the tractor so I could put the poo into the front end loader. Oh well.

City, i sooooooooo wanna go see the new trekki movie but aint had the time, awsome was it?

Ronnie is doing good, I candled the eggs in my 1202 last nite and had to toss only 1 but it was cracked and still developing. Didnt want to take a chance on an asploding egg. Only one out of bout 60 was questionable.
