Hey BigOkie, are you interested in some chickens, may have some pairs, trios and quads for you if auctionlover doesn't take them all, or I may take them to the Prague auction Friday, are you going down there? Sorry!!, welcome Poco Polo, Lynn

Hi Poco, the auction I was referring to is in Prague Okla, kinda in south central Okla. and it is an Exotic animal auction but it is Friday and Saturday, on Friday they let you sell poultry and small animals in cages/ with the cages like in a flea market, then what does not sell on Friday goes into the auction on Saturday, it is a lot of fun, it cost $5 to get in but it is like going to a zoo, you never know what you will see there, you can buy anything animal there if you have the right permits if required or you are brave enought to bid on it!!! LOL Lynn

Do the animals have to be exotic, or is it a few exotic animals that draws people to the auction?

What's the most exotic animal you've seen auctioned there? Are the animals vet checked? Do vendors have papers for the animals they sell?

Naked Necks of course!!! very winter hardy and will be out grazing when other breeds are in the shade panting like dogs! Good sitters and very good moms plus they lay a med to large brown egg.

Now those are some interesting birds!!! When I showed them to Hubby he said, "What in the world happened to it!". If they handle the heat well that would definitely be a plus. I got the mister set up today for my feather babies. When my grandmother called and found out about it she could not stop laughing, said raising chicken sure had changed from when she was a girl!

Hi Poco, yes they are Exotic, I have seen babie animals of all kinds, monkeys, lemurs, buffalo, audads, gazzells, four horned sheep, what ever, have seen grown animals in elk, deer, goats, watusi cattle, longhorns, buffalo, zebras, camels, all kinds of sheep, goats, mini horses, zedonks, just whatever.
There are all kinds of birds from caged birds like parrots, budgies, doves, pigeon, chickens, pheasant, peacocks, turkeys, some comon some rare and exotic.
They are vet checked if needed and if they require papers they will be provided on both sides of the deal.
There is a web site but I can't remember how to get to it, Lynn

Lynn. I am sorry but I never made it to Falls Creek tonight. Just too much to do around here.
I hope Dakota comes back a changed young man.
I can attest that three of the guys in my small group were a lot different when we came back than when we went.

Hey everyone....

I didn't get anything done today other than pick out $400 worth of paint....

Momma did it~!!!
I've kept everyone here in my thoughts and prayers and I hope everyone with their certainties figure out how to fix it with out going to extremes first.

Hi! My husband and I are new to this board, just found the web-site tonight! We're in Edmond....., but fortunately for us, have a county address, so we can raise chickens! We have 2 young children, and are having so much fun!! We raise them for pets and eggs, not food. We added 30 to our liter this year - all females, of course, so we can control the size of our flock. Loving to learn about life, through our chickens. So many things you can teach your children, through caring for chickens!

We've got 1 crevecour, Barred Rocks, Silver-Spangled Hamburg, White leghorns, RIR, Russian Orloffs, Partridge Cochins, Black something.......(aquired these from a friend, don't know what they are), Buff Orphingtons and 2 bantams (different breeds, don't know what these are either.

Hello Miss Becky, Glad you're here. It's always fun to see new people here as the others say.

I'm also glad to be one of the first to say hey.

DISCLAMER:
This particular board is NOT a place to go when you need to "downsize" We all are 'Trying Hard' to do so.

BYC friends,

I want to thank each of you for your prayers and thoughts. That's why I love this site so much, so many caring people. We're going to try to bring mom home for the last few days if possible. She wants to come home and we're going to try it.

She is sleeping a lot and thankfully not in a great deal of pain yet. Keep her in your prayers as we go down this very scarry path with her. Althought she doesn't show any fear whatsoever. She just says that it's her and God now and when he's finished with her I'll just go "home". I just pray I can be as graceful as she is being.

God is being so awesome to her and our family. I know mom is ready to go "home" and be with her Lord.

Thank all of you,

Donna
