Henny-I thought that I saw Monty in that pic somewhere behind the Tidy Cat.

Poco-funny!

Al-I forgot to tell you about trying the white BBQ sauce a couple of weeks back. I hadn't gotten any cream yet so I did the mayo base with ACV, lemon, horseradish, tapatio (out of cayenne), fresh ground pepper, and some other stuff I don't remember now after grilling. It turned out pretty good and different. I have some cream now but need to make the time to grill to try that base with basting. Thanks again for the ideas.

Monty-on the chicken flock, project, plans I know I'm running a day or 2 behind but I figured since I nevered have actually told you guys what we have here...my wife said she wanted to diversify her flock. She has had white leghorns in the past and now has NHR, RIR, BO, RSL, brown leghorn and an EE camouflaged to look like a RSL.

I don't think she quite had all this in mind cause now I've added RIW, BR, EE, cochin, Delaware, Welsummer, various bantam, Silkie, Spitz, polish, hamburgs, marans, penedesenca, kraienkoppe, Lakenvelder, light Brahma, sumatra, wyandottes, blue andalusians, olive eggers, and more. Of course in some of the breeds I got her several varieties/colors! The projects/plans for these 100 or so birds depends on hen/rooster count but I'm hoping right now for a regular rainbow of eggs and birds for her. I think that she thinks that I've lost my mind. Well?!!! We will probably do some breeding projects in the future maybe even for some meat birds and hatching eggs. We raised some cornish X this year and will do more in the fall just for my family but I have also been looking at the colored rangers and the dixie rainbows with interest. I'm hoping to hear about success from some of the Okies on here that are working on their meat bird projects. My wife also felt the need to buy some goats for milk

Henny ,The wife and sister told mil last night that she wouldn't be going home for a while and that they were closing her apartment out. She was livid and denied having any problems even when they told her about them. She sulkied till bed time. This morning all is forgotten. She's like goose for sure, wakes up in a new world every day!By night time she will be tired and it will all start over again. Hopefully eventually it will soak in.

Who has the rarest breed amongst us? Ka-Ben has Kaiel??.

I never heard of them. Anyone else have something rare. Where can you get breeds that are imported from other countries. Anyone have importer contacts?

Neecy :

It is safe to say for those of us who have met John, That he would have passed with flying colors and need not have worried, so give him a big ole pat on the back from all his friends in our group for a job well done.

Henny : are you planning on going to Cement Saturday??. And just a reminder that Lawtons big PRCA Pro Rodeo is next week, we allways attend on friday or Saturday, it's a big deal in this part of the world LOL.

Sooner : We hope your having a great time on your vacation at six flags of TX.

Buster : How about you!!! are you and your DW planning on going to Cement on Saturday ??.

Morning peeps...nice day out... I'm going to put my nose to the grindstone....stay the heck away from Farm Town and get some serious painting done this weekend.

Al, the rodeo sounds like a blast! I love when they run full bore around the arena with the flag... my favorite part and I always end up bawling...(What a sap...

) No Cement. Mike has worked every night this week with those storms that rolled through. Poor guy is toast.

Dachs...you're wife is some serious tuff stuffski. Going in knowing you are going to take a beating is the worst! But ya gotta do, what ya gotta do. It just wears me out and then I get....shall we say....er...uh...snippy! Yes....snippy...that's a good replacement word. Then I cry...Pooor Mikey. He surely didn't sign on for all this drama.

Ameraucanas went into the bator last night...going to try out the dry hatch thing....

Beth, just ignore Stimp....I've seen your bottom and it ain't fat....and believe me I should know a fat butt when I see it!!! Besides everybody knows Freddy Mercury had serious issues...

Love y'all.....

POCO - ROFLMAO ! Even I can see that one ! That's why I
check this thing early each morning. Then, I'm good to go for
the day. Somebody's always got somethin' goin'....

Neecy - That's super ! You've obviously got two Grand Slam
Hitters at your house !

Have a good one !

Well the storms have passed at least for a while. I am so grateful for the rain we surely need some wet weather here to keep the temps down.

Al - I am planning to go to Cement. Hope to see everyone there.

Ok so I could use some advice about a hen I have. She is about 3 months old americana and had been in the chick pen until about 6 days ago when she got out. Tried to catch her but she was determined not to go back in so I left her out. A couple of days ago I find her crouched by the pen and not getting up. When I put her back in the pen she just sat there and kinda schooted over to the food. After watching her for a bit I reliesed she is not walking. I brought her in the house and put her in a resting box I have for some of the older birds if they need to come in. It has been two days and she is still not walking. She kinda shuffles around using her wings, she is eating and drinking but no weight bearing on her legs. I do not know what to do or what caused it. There are no broken bone, or trama I can find. Like I said she is eating and drinking. Any suggestions or ideas of what may help her.

Well got to go feed the birds and clean brooder boxes. Uli and I are going on a date tonight so that should be fun.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!
