chickenz1, How is the rooster today? You might try giving him some boiled egg mashed up if he is not eating what you are giving him. It sounds like youhave offered plenty of things for him.
Is there a chance he injured himseld fighting the other roos? I had a free range game that hurt himself badly fighting my Welsummer roo through the fence.
I finally put him down after he kept deteriorating.
I would for sure keep giving him the higher protein stuff over grains.
If you have any vitamin B-12 pills you might try giving him one of those as well.

Hey all I am here.

Sorry to hear about all the losses of family and the hurt birds.
A dear friend of mine lost her FIL last week and I have been running around like you know what, and didnt say anything here. Some of you have seen her post on the okie thread. Sheila from Missouri.


Recouping from the hectic weekend. I have no desire to do a single thing. I had to do laundry Lynn was running out of the unmentionables.

Of course I will be at the POOPS. You had to ask???????????? For now put me down for 2 we shall see when it gets closer.

Slightly, I would love to buy a box of shrooms from you for sure if you could swing it.

Nana I wouldn't mind the recipe for the picante sauce.


Carla I WILL need some blue, royal turkeys. 4 each if I could please.

I will get with Grace, and Sooner and Nana about what I will bring. Sorry City no entertainment from me unless Monty makes me wear the hat again.

I will be selling off some birds then also. Just gotta figure out what.

Baby is good. to much going on this past weekend to spend any time with her. I am going to go over to their house tomorrow and spend some one on one time with them. Hog the baby the whole time. Just waiting on her to call me and tell me what she wants me to fix them for dinner tomorrow night. Now that it is getting later I really hope it is something simple. Planned to do chicken enchiladas but she needs to call her mom. It might turn into beef lidas since i can whip them up quick from the freezer.

If one had Feta cheese what would you do with it. I dont even know if I like it but my brothers friend who is Swiss bought out the store on all this spangly cheese, the others that was in block form I froze, feta I was not sure about. I have 3 boxes of it. Hate to see it go to waste.

Lynn - I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give, but I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Alright everyone, I need chicken help! There's a possiblity that I will be coming home with full grown standard chickens here in the near future, and I've got no pens! I had ideas, but it would've been temporary for chicks and bantams. SO... What's a less costly but secure way to build chicken pens?
