Hi..Thanks for responding..Gofer crowed some this morning..Not at all yesterday, but he's not eating as much as he was while on the antibiotic..He is picking the seeds though, and eating banana, watermelon, ( he particularly went after the watermelon seeds), grapes and tomato..I figure at least he gets fluid from the fruits..
I got some
Manna Pro Comprehensive Pelleted Suppliment today and he picked very little of that..Also got the vitamin and electrolyte soluble powder..Gave him a new water dish that I'm SURE he can reach, but have not seen him dip into it, so am still using the eye dropper, which he resists more often than not now by shaking his head or otherwise dodging..
No..At least I don't think it was fighting through the fence that did it, though I have had to remove him about 3 times from the fence in the past when he was fighting and got a spur hung on the fence..He was always ok though..He had to have fallen from the roost limb this time and no doubt landed on the edge of a brick..The bricks were there to hold a bucket in place so it would'nt roll..He liked to get in it when it rained sometimes, though always spent his nights on the roost..
I will try eggs..He will at least try them..He never had banana before yesterday, or tomato before today..but he seemed to like both..
Has anyone ever determined about how much a chicken drinks during a day? I have no clue how much they SHOULD drink..But I don't think Gofer is getting enough, unless that whitish dry looking skin on his face and back of his head is from something else..and it may be, as the bright red color that is usual is going away a bloth at a time..His comb is still red, except when it gets blotches of dark almost purple color..
I do not find ANY bugs on him...
