If the eggs have been in just two weeks I would be getting suspicious of either the thermostat if electronic or the wafer. Another thing to check is to see that the button on the bottom of the wafer is hitting the micro-switch. Sometimes they will get out of alignment.

If you have the wafer type be sure to keep at least one spare wafer on hand at all times.

that's the big issue, according to the vet, he has not done a Coggins. The last time the horse was into the vet was in February to get his teeth floated (paid for by me) and to MY knowledge, he does not have a Coggins.

I will PM you the name. I don't want this guy being able to google himself and finding this information and know that I'm tracking him down. Otherwise, he may just up and sell the horse.

The horse is called "Max" in the barn, but his registered name is Sonny's DeeLight.

NNbreeder (LES) Doesn't live in your area but I think they come to the Jones auction just about every Thursday.
Poultryandbees lives South OKC but I don't know if she has the testing stuff yet.
I know she is certified, bonafied and dignified.

Beth, when is the show? I haven't purchased my NPIP supplies yet, but plan to do that this month. Are the chickens bantams or large fowl? (since I will have to buy some bands)

POOPS AUCTION INFORMATION

We Okies in the BYC are proud to announce the first annual POOPS live auction, to be held on the Saturday the day of Fall POOPS 2009

The auction is open to all attending and will be offered in 2 segments, the first part of the auction is for items that are donated and the proceeds will go toward the POOPS fund to help pay for the many expenditures POOPS we have incurred. The second portion of the auction is a for profit live auction just like all normal auctions. We want to try and make this auction a success for all future POOPS events and our members to enjoy and benifit from.

Auction rules as follows ;

1. Check in time for items in both auction segments is as soon as you can, to enable folks to view the items up for auction.

2. Non-live poultry items should maintain a poultry theme, I.E.= art's & crafts etc.

3. All poultry must be caged or in a suitable enclosure, cages will not be sold with the poultry unless specified by seller & auctioneer.

4. PO's will be honored in all fairness during the live for profit segment only.

5. Bid numbers will be issued to all who want them prior to the auction start time.

6. We have not yet decided how we will handle pay out's I have several options in the works and will update you when we know what fit's best.

7. All cages and items will be numbered by the auction staff, and it is encouraged that you lable your own breeds for better identification to avoid any confusion and benifit both buyer & seller.

8. It is asked that all buyers wait till the end of the auction before gathering up their purchases assited by the auction staff. there may be the opportunity to also buy choice of a particular Lot, if this happens the bidder should have an empty cage available and close by.

9. The auction staff will not be running an active post on what is being brought for sale, but we do have a running post as to a wish list as to add fairness to the event.

10. There will NO commissions or Taxes of any kind held back from the buyers and sellers alike.

Items needed for auction :

We are drenched. Lots of rain and storms. We were dry. I am not going to complain. Now maybe we'll be able to afford some hay for the horses and cows for the winter. It has gotten really high($$) and there hasn't been much available. It's tough when you have 12 head of horses and a small herd of cattle. Although right now I spend more on chicken feed than horse feed.

Cleo : yes the price of hay seems to be going the way of oil, the ranchers in our area hold back on selling thinking they won't get another decent cutting. Then I see the hundreds of old rotten bales sitting out there from the last time they ran the price up.
