OK according to feathersite I my Polish are Buff Laced and Silver Polish I am so excited!!! And we even got 3 eggs out of them already but I am sure they will quit for a while until they get acclimated to their new environment!

I have had BR and RR and had very little problem, but these BO... UGH! I am down to the last two, and tomorrow I will be down to the last one. I REFUSE to be afraid of a bird! at least not one I can get my hands on.

All of the breeds you mentioned are fairly docile, but most roosters in a flock type group will show some form of dominance over his girls. As long as your not expexting huggie pie kissey poo behavior from the Diminate Roo they should be ok. It is your job to fit into their world not yours if you catch what I am saying, As long as they know your roll in thier flock as the head honcho that takes care of them, then will gain respect and be able to interact as a family member.
I have all of these type roosters and they are all great boy's in my book no problems.

wonder why the BO roos are so agressive and the pullets are so sweet? actually, thats not right, i have sugar and spice, sugar is a sweetheart- spice gets cranky at nite - don't infringe on her roosting space!LOL!

thats a real good point- its easy to forget that you need to let them be roo's- course mine is young, and is learning about protecting the girls- today he chased them all back into the brush - all wild life was gone, not a sound- and he was right, a big hawk flew over- i never let them out to have their hour of fun time unattended, but it was amazing how they listened to him- no, he is not a cuddle bug, even as a baby he was adamant- and my silky roo is that way too...

You girls have to show them your the main Hen and nobody but nobody messes with you. That's the the secret, if he is charging the door change you tactic's or it will just get worse.

smfamf & Mallen - I used to work at Atwoods, horrible place for a chicken addict. The bands just mean that the hatchery sexed the chicks, and they are 99.9% sure to be pullets. Usually the sexed chicks are heavy dual purpose breeds. Our store usually got Leghorns, RIR, Barred Rocks, Australorps, and Sex Links.
TJ's NaNa - That is a BIG snake!! Scares me thinkin about kiddos comin up on it. They usually don't bother me, but we had a 4'5" Bull Snake in the yard where I keep the duck one day. THAT shook me up a little.
Grace - Ollie does need a buddy! I've been meaning to ask you! I will send a PM.
