glad to see a few of you are still up ..... i went to the flea market in tahlequah today with baby ducks and guineas thinking i probably wouldn't do to great because it was the end of the month and it just goes to show if you have poultry swapping disease it doesn't matter what time of month it is... sold all my ducks and came home with 6 guineas out of 32... it was a good day... and for sure gorgeous outside......did anybody go to the sale at inola on saturday that was advertised in craigslist... i wanted to go but couldn't get away...all of my 2 year old rir laying hens are molting and they are all going to the 412 auction at chouteau on saturday... i'm cleaning up pens and getting ready to bring home some new projects from poops...

evening folks! I went MIA there for a bit...had to have a date with my lady friend! 12 yrs today!!! and I have the lumps to prove it!

I am down sizing...well okay...not really...I wanna switch some breeds! I am bringing two trios of dark bantam brahmas, a quad of black oeg (these have the opal gene in them)...and some others to be determined over the next few weeks.

Carla - folks will go stir crazy if you bring that many birds...and I will be in so much trouble!

Everyone's always talking about downsizing. Not me, I've sadly never had that issue. Ever heard of upsizing? I'm upsizing, people!

Pooh Teach! You shattered my little duck world. lol. Until today I thought Ollie was a girl, I was about to get a drake to keep it company. Don't guess that'd be such a great idea now.

Well I downsized by one today but not intentionally. I had a young pullet committ suicide by hanging herself in the wire on the side of the pen.
. I have had two do that in the last month and I have never had it happen before.
Cammie fishin in a crick with a cane pole. Now it doesn't get any better than that. Is that where you ran of to the other night.
Hey it is easy to upsize when you only have two chicks.
Have you found a pen or coop yet?

That would be a better plan than what I did. I went to the first one and ended up with some many that I wasn't ready for, really sent me into a tail spin, then I just kept getting more until my hubby started asking everytime I would leave the house....."now your not getting anymore are you?" Poor guy, I had him building every weekend.

Sooner - HA!! I wish I could do that. Oh if I only had my own place already... I graduate this coming Summer, I will probably buy everyone out after I have land. lol

Monty - It was great, let me tell ya. No, I went to Burtschi the other night. Its titled 'Lake', but I've always considered it an oversized pond. I think the fishing there is horrible, but some friends were already there so I went.

HA!! Sadly I only have a little 4 door car anymore. But that's a good thing! I think I'm gonna have to buy another truck and trailer before I can even move out of here. I will have chicken pens by then!
