I can't believe I let this one slip by me, it hit me when I saw a huge passle of ole boy's gathering at the diner dressed in camo around 4:00 pm today. Opening day of dove season is today, I guess I know what Ill be doing this weekend, gotta go buy shells tomorrow.

I was in an attic one time and scraped my forehead on a roof nail, bled like crazy all down the front of my face, didn't hurt at all and it looked really cool. Of course the DW didn't think it was funny when I told her I wanted it to dry like that, they have no sense of humor LOL.

Tell us about your poultry and what you are looking for to add to them. This is the place to find just about any kind of poultry in the State of Oklahoma. Hope you can join us on Sept 26 at the get together at the KOA in Choctaw. There will be lots of poultry to acquire there also.

I would love to go to POOPS! I will see if I have time to and am able to go. It sounds like fin. And thanks Everyone for the welcome.

Okay, I have, in total, 43 birds. Small rancher compared to some, lol. I have 3 Ducks, supposedly all female, but they came from Atwoods, so who knows. I have 1 Delaware Rooster and 2 Delaware Cockerels, and 8 Delaware hens and 9 Delaware Pullets, 4 Red Star Pullets (may be three soon. stupid blue heeler) 3 Rhode Island Red Pullets, 1 Rhode Island Red Rooster, 1 Mixed RedStar/BuffOrp Pullet and Rooster, 7 Mixed Hens *huff huff* 1 Barred Rock Pullet, started laying two weeks ago, 1 Black Star Pullet, and A Cuckoo Maran Cockerel. Thats all.... yep, thats all. I wish I could add to my flock, but my grandfather wont let me, in fact, I have to get rid of some as soon as my pullets start laying. Grr. I will have pics of them on my page though. Soon. Enough. ;p

You can always bring what you want to sell to POOPS and swap or put them in the auction ring. Are you gonna sell any Delaware's.

Monty--Just got finished talking to Jack for about an hour. I really enjoyed visiting with him. Thanks for giving me his number. We're going to the city this weekend and we're going to stop and see him on Monday on our way home. He said that you were coming over tomorrow. I envy you all living close to each other that have chickens and you can buy from others. I don't know hardly anyone our way that raises birds and. All my friends think I'm nuts. They tease me at church calling me the chicken lady. LOL

Oh well, just makes me look forward to POOPS more.

I am selling my Delaware Hens and Rooster. I'd like to sell them as a flock, but who knows how that will go. I'm in the process of setting up my page, hopefully I will be able to show you guys some pictures.

Of course, since Heffner (Delaware Rooster) LOVES his girls so much, they look like I abuse them

They are covered in red dirt and some of their feathers are missing. They look like lowly birds, but are treated like high class, almost.

Edited: I was wondering if anyone will be going to the Cleveland County fair? I'm going to show some birds there. I'm an amateur, new to all this stuff, but I have fun doing this. BTW: My name is Ginger.

Well I hope you can give me a call when you are gonna be there on Monday and I will run over and say hi.
I just live about a mile away as the crow flies. But I'll be in my truck so it will be a little further. ha!

Hey Donna, I'm just outside of Claremore, a little past the casino on 20 East. Course, all my chickens are either 1 week out of the egg or still in it, but I'm here!

That reminds me, I have 33 quail that will be hatching soon. Anyone in the group into quail??

Matt

Matt--It's about time someone this way got on here. I thought you were from around here but I wasn't sure what area. I live just north of Sequoyah school. Yeah! Don't worry, if you go to POOPS you'll have more than "just out of the bator". If you have chicken fever you'll soon be an addict if you hang around this bunch. We're all a bunch of non reformed addicts. LOL Can't wait to meet you. Who knows we may know each other and just don't know it. I am a teacher at Sequoyah schools.

Mallen :
Yes there are a few of us that are into quail, Teach is our resident quail expert, and Bill Bailey TJ's Na-Na DH is also a quail encyclipedia. I have a few dozen and am hatching a 120 or so in time for POOPS.
