Hi All,

No worries, RIR, NH Reds.... either is fine by me, Amos dosent really care what the gals are either, lol. No idea what the chicks are either, red sexlink, RIR, who knows. I do know for sure that the eggs I have that will hatch this coming week are buff orpingtons and easter eggers. So it looks like I'm going to have a yard full of brown & green egg layers.

The huts are port-a-huts, I bought them locally a few years ago when we had some goats. All the framing for the attached run is done with treated 2x4x8's.

Well you know good ones are rare here in the US so I think that I would start a small breeding flock of them and then outcross the offspring. I imagine that Cubanlongtails would take extras from you. She wants some badly but has had no luck raising them.

Naked Necked birds, Frizzles and the Egypt Foyoumas (sp) are all tried and true to be disease resistant. NNs are being used in South America in the jungles to help local villages become more self sufficient without the death loss from other breeds of birds.

You're right though, they do take some getting used to. If you ever get NNs in your flock though you will slowly phase out all the other breeds in favor of them. They are excellent broodies and mothers and lay really well but not as well as the production breeds.

The hens can be agressive twords each other at times but if one gives the alarm call all come running. I have never had one that was not people friendly, even the big roosters.

Buckguy 20 .Wow you should have boughtr those runts. Yeah ,I'm sure they were bought for resale!

Teach The birds are on the road. City should have them sometime tomorrow. Three pairs. Hope you like.

So Al did you get some good white rocks? I suppose these will get top go into the rock palace!

It is more like door prizes where you get to choose.... tickets cost x amount and you buy as many as you'd like, then when one of your numbers is called, you pick out whichever item you like the most

Yea I sure did they look great and are huge at only 4 month old, the (sellers) ladies twin 60 yr old teachers got the eggs from a show breeder in California and raised them as a 4H project for high schoolers in the classroom. They are not laying yet and are unlike any bird I have ever owned, quiet, docile, not skiddish pretty good keepers. Yes the got the Presidents suite in the condo.
Now I have got to visit with the Stimpmiester and see what I really have here.

AL
