smfamf - Poor kiddo, no wonder she's having such a rough time.

The immune deficiency may be making it more painful for her. Did the doc run some blood tests? With her particular condition it could be possible that she's got something else too, right? Prayers that she can get some rest and is feeling better soon!

Gerald is usually a much better salesman than that! Or maybe I am more easily sold things that I really want to get and just need a little extra encouragement.

Gerald will sure be happy to hear that you should've listened to him

You just can't stop at one, can you!

We have some still. Are you looking for something around the age of that partridge you bought from Betsy?

She outgrew the immune deficiency by the time she turned two. It was inherited from her father and eventually lead to his death right after she was born. She didn't even get to see the doctor. His office was packed and they said they may be able to squeeze her in tomorrow morning. They called in this prescription hoping that it would help her overnight. She can't go back to school tomorrow and that is what hurts her the most. She is finally in bed and it didn't take long before she passed out. It just breaks my heart to see her crying all day. I guess its good practice for when she has surgery.

Gerald was bragging at POOPS that all he has to do is hand a silkie chick to a child and tell them to go show it to their parents. It works best on Grandma's though

I doubt the Fletcher auction will be as good as the Cement auction, at least it wasn't 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I'm doing my best to convince Gerald to go the the Cement auction .... told him I was afraid to drive there by myself

Hopefully that works ... when I talked to him a few hours ago, he said he might drive me there and stay out in the truck.

Are you going to the Cement auction? Newcastle show? I need to bring you that nice turkey cage back. Did you know that turkey was so smart he escaped the cage twice? I guess he unlatched the door. The second time, we found him on top of the Narragansett pen, on the other side of our barn. At least he knows which pen he was supposed to go in. I was worried that the older tom might beat him up, but he fit in perfectly.

smfamf - Surgery?? I'm sure you probably already mentioned that, but I've forgot.

poultryandbees - Oh Gerald is a good salesman! I told him I'm taking him and Carla with me when I buy my next car. Lol. But I swore I wasn't going to get anything at POOPS. Until I saw this adorable little Silkie...

Carla - Ya, I guess that's what I need... She's in there with my two Marans, and I think they kind of ignore her. Ya know, big kids pickin on the little ones. So whatcha got? Hook me up!

Stimpy : I read earlier that you sometimes feed corn in the winter, do your white rocks ever get brassy looking. I have quit feeding my Light Brahma's corn they are bad about getting brassy and it takes a long time even until molting to shed the yellow color. I was looking at the Rocks today taking my time to select a good one for you, I picked one up and about strained my back LOL. Now I know why they call'em Rocks, they are getting really nice, almost diet time as they will most likely be parent stock.

Hey okies nice evening we are having.

Carla, Nick loves his little Spitz it thinks it is a lap chicken its so calm. I love the little Silkie, they fit right in with my week old EE's. My other half Tom said he likes Geralds big green truck.

Smfamf hope your daughter gets better soon.

Hey everyone else.

She has a bone tumor. The surgeon wants to remove it because it is growing rather rapidly. It is on her left middle finger. Six months ago, you could barely tell it was there but now it sticks out pretty bad.

I haven't had much problem with brassiness so far. Any birds that have shown it in the past have been culled. I sure don't want them in my breeding pens. So far, I've been very lucky.
