OK...I am back. Spent all last night in ER with my mom, What a zoo. They had a new doctor and he was not the nicest. Anyway they decided that she has
pneumonia. So they sent her back to the rest home, mainly because the hospital was packed with flu. Everyone was either snarking or throwing up...

Couldn't wait to get outta there. Now they have her on breathing treatments and oxygen and she is ticked becasue she can't go out and smoke.

Now she is crying again...*sigh* I have decided that when God was handing out compassion, I must have missed it.

Hens are out grubbing in the on and off again rain. My egg production has almost doubled. They seem pretty cantankerous. They got BOSS for a weekend treat and I got cat food to grind up for protien, and Rooster Booster and polyvisol for the flimsy ones. Eprinex was easy. I did 1/4 CC for banties and 1/2 CC for standards on the shoulders between the wings. They seem OK. They sure are run down though.

I am going to curl up with my pillow, my blankie and my stuffed hen and crash. I feel like I'm getting the snarkies....

Sorry about Gomer, Teach...he was a good egg.

Henny - you have a lot on your plate right now and I don't think for a minute that you are lacking in compassion toward your mom. You have done everything for her you can and I don't think it is lack of compassion that has you frustrated because a very sick woman who is having problems with her lungs, wants to smoke.

I just got up from a 2 hour nap, that followed a 2 hour nap this morning. Naps help keep us from getting sick when we are run down physically and emotionally.

Are they white??? I know that might sound silly but didn't know if you had him penned with another color.

I am in for a short break. Madison's team lost 2 to 1 but it was a great game, I love it when they are close with alot of good playing. Then we went to get new cleets, goat feed and the wormer for my chickens. I got all that done so now I will watch to see if I find anything on the ground like HP did.

DH should be home soon and we will start the new coop for Madison's cochins. I think if all goes well hopefully we will have a good part of it done by this evening.

I just got back and did some power cleaning and then sat down Dylan's team lost 4-3 Dylan got a score and saved one score. He was scared it being his 1st game.

Nope I think I might get 2 blues out of these. sure hope so. I have him with a blue hen also.

Congrats to Dylan! Now that he got that first game under his belt I bet you see a different player out there next time.

I couldn't remember but thought you had a blue or a black with him. Hey what happens when you have a partridge with a splash roo?? That silkie roo is tryin his luck with her too.

Oh my funny story for the week. I let the cochin roo out that I got from Bill & nana at the same time the silkies were out, thinking I would have to watch the cochin roo. I turned my back for one minute and that silkie roo was beating up my cochin (standard size). I had to catch him and put him up. LOL.

That is crazy. I don't have any other silkies so whatever I get is what I get caues I don't think I will increase my silkies until spring. Maybe not even then considering I will be doing these cochins.....I sure love that white set......Got to come up with a name.

Wow! We went to the Newcastle show today. Lots of birds! I'm pretty sure that we will be adding to our home come spring. Berry and Caitlin fell in love with the little calling ducks and west indies. Will probably be looking for them come time for spring POOPS! We were hoping to see some japanese, but I guess they just aren't that popular around these parts or they are all in tulsa. Caitlin did fall in love with a standard size chicken (buff orpington). Good thing we didn't have any cages today or I'd have two grown chickens in the yard while the chicks are still trying to grow out of the brooder! Boy I didn't realize that chickens could be addicting to the whole family. Berry is talking about building a chicken house instead of a coop to accomodate our new family addiction.

Sure is quiet on here today. How's everyone doing? Everyone and their kiddos getting over the sickies yet??

We went by the Newcastle show today. There weren't as many large breeds as there usually are, but still looked like a good turn out.. Got to see Grace and her dad, and Carla for just a minute. Now hubby is asking me if I want to go to the Cement auction here in a minute! I can't decide if he's being sweet cuz he got a new truck and feels bad, or if he just wants an excuse to drive the truck.
