Does that work for washed refrigerated eggs?

I always wash and sanitize my hatching eggs. I dip them in a 10% bleach solution which is 1 tablespoon per gallon. Then I let them air dry. I use the same on the incubator too in a spray bottle as I use the dry method of incubation.

is there a secret to washing eggs, like having the water warmer/colder than the eggs so that bacteria doesn't enter the inside through the pores in the shell?

Have you candled them to confirm that they developed? do you hear any peeping? Are they developing a rotten egg odor?

Yes they are in their 3 of hatched but 11 have not...No peeping or pipping

I'd like to confirm what you last said. Was it that 3 had hatched and 11 were left that had not pipped? If so, when did the 3 hatch?

I generally leave the eggs in for 25 days before I give up hope, unless they are starting to smell

As a practical matter however, any that actually hatch more than 2 days after day 21 have had mushy bellies and didn't thrive. You might consider opening one to see if there is a nasty odor to the developed chick and observe whether there is still liquid inside the egg.

I also open mine to try and get a idea as to what went wrong and how far along in development they made it to. By day 23 I am at least candling for progress, by day 25 were done.

The first egg has hatched out of the eggs that Teach picked up at POOPS for me. Looks like a black silkie. My daughter is thrilled. She lost her silkies in the dog attack. There are 143 left to go. lol There are about 14 guinea eggs and 2 turkey eggs included in that total. This should be interesting...
