Hey Sooner, Thanks for the hug. How are things in the East?

Technically I live in Eastern Oklahoma by about 200 yards. I am just East of the Indian Meridian which divides West from East in Okie state.

If my birds were laying... Fried egg sandwich with bacon sounds really good.

Birds are starting to gain back their weight, have feathers, and legs are yellowing up so I ought to start getting eggs again pretty soon!

Neighbors had company over this past weekend and when we were being introduced some of them had to say... so your the folks with the trash all over the yard

to which I had to explain YES its because WE are CLEANING UP after the folks we bought our house from who left much to be desired... and WE have already taken several dump runs and we still have alot of more clean up to do... on top of the already projects we want to do for our selves.... We know the place is dumpy looking buts its even more embarassing to have folks think we are the ones who did it...

... But we see the Jewel behind all this junk and crap around in the yard and what not and thats why we are cleaning it up and trying to amend the soil ..... I also dont think these kind folks(the one who said that above) realize my husband was not here when we bought the house and he wouldnt be home for another year... and that it was my kids and I who was very busy cleaning up the inside of the home (painting ect ect) while trying to man our other family issues... and on top of home schooling and trying to stay sane!

But despite the statements I see what we see and what the Lord has seen us do and over come... so I am not to worried... I have a photo album showing our progress.. even if its major small now.. ha ha


I wanted to add thats why its important to not be too crazy judgemental because like these folks they dont know our story and because of that they just assumed we were trashy people...

Don't worry about it, Jeannie. You and yours know how hard you are working. I can attest to the condition of the place before you moved in, so I believe you when you say it is taking some time.

The world is full of nasty people and they have to live somewhere. Sometimes we are unlucky enough it just happens to be next door.

lol I will take Spring, summer & fall year around. Just cut out the winter.
