well 18 kids left for a basketball game...that leaves me with 1 kid for this hour...we are working on homework from other classes and I am talking to you guys. Guess I need to flunk a few so I have folks to keep me company! that would be rude...but a thought
it is how I leave them alone during tests! I hate the next few months! I love sports and having the kids involved and being motivated but it really disrupts things!!! Plus I pay like no attention to the schedule (remember I can't do the whole write hatch date thing down) so i plan stuff for when I don't have kids and then someone is sick and well...when you ain't got a class it is pointless to teach!
Hi Shavon - thanks for the newsy post! I hope your new job is fun and fulfilling and fantastic and all the other good words, and that you are able to get some rest soon. How is your grandma doing?
Henny - since now Mike will get the job in January, that gives you the time you need to find a new place, move your mom, and start packing. I agree with Buckguy and Sooner on the timing!
I'm sure I'll spend more time around the fire than in the woods. I've gotten to the point that I think about all the trouble of tracking, or hauling, or cleaning a deer that I can easily talk myself out of shooting one. I gave my .270 to my son and I haven't even strung my bow this year. So I'll probably spend my time staying warm and making up lies to tell the grandkids.
My grandsons even spend more time on the 4-wheelers than I do. To be honest, I can't remember why I even go.
11/28/2009! I've already asked off of work so I can watch! I'll have to work Thanksgiving and the Black Friday, but oh man...turkey sandwich with OSU vs. OU? Oh yah...
Ooh I think I'll go get me some DQ ice cream tomorrow. We have a DQ in the next town over, but I always pass it up for some good old fashioned Braum's ice cream. I love me a cookies and cream shake!
I hatch low hatch rates. That was my worse excluding the 2 batches of hatched eggs. I ended up with 2 out of 6 Seramas hatch and only have one baby. I had 5 out of 8 EEs hatch and have 3 babies.
I still have those game birds for you guys, Roy and Shawn. I'm not sure about the barred babies, they may be pullets, but the BB Reds are pretty much little roos, I think. They are the sweetest little babies ever. They say that if one birdis flighty, all in the pen will be. I have these babies in with 12 guineas and they run up to me everytime they see me. I have one theat will peck at my feet until I pick it up. It will then work its way up to my shoulder and sit there. It isn't happy unless its on my shoulder. DH named it Little Bit. The one that looks like it is named similar, but I can't post it's name due to the rules. We'll just say that the two names rhyme and leave it at that. They still haven't grown any. Still only about 6 inches tall. Little Bit is the one I had in the house for a week because of an eye infection. He would wander around and perch on the cats, but always came back to my shoulder to take a nap.

I'm sure the job will be great. My co-workers are all good friends. One of them is my best friend also. I think I'll fit in just fine. It will be very rewarding, because I will be helping people. Grandma is doing great as far as we know. She is feeling really good because all the chemo meds are just about out of her system. She goes in for her next scan at the end of the month. That will determine if she will need to have more chemo. She still is uncertain if she wants to continue treatment. She would rather have a good quality short life, that a poor quality long life. I agree with her, but it hurts to admit it and to think about it.
Jordan has a dry erase calendar that he write all my hatch dates down on. He keeps me in line. I always have to post when I set my eggs and have to look back at my posts to see when to put them in lockdown. He saves me a lot of time rereading all my posts.
Edited because I can't smoke a cigarette, talk on the phone, think about what to say, and type a post at the same time.
