Monty,

I'm sure I'll spend more time around the fire than in the woods. I've gotten to the point that I think about all the trouble of tracking, or hauling, or cleaning a deer that I can easily talk myself out of shooting one. I gave my .270 to my son and I haven't even strung my bow this year. So I'll probably spend my time staying warm and making up lies to tell the grandkids.

My grandsons even spend more time on the 4-wheelers than I do. To be honest, I can't remember why I even go.

Stimp - you go for the same reason my husband goes - to make sure the grandkids have a good time and don't get hurt.

Les, that is the way I know when I have a hatch going on as well. I normally put dates on the eggs, but then I have to remember to check periodically and see what the date is instead of forgetting that I have an incubator going.

Your post reminded me that I had chosen a new pic for my avatar.

So Monty, I changed mine too!!!

I love it and think it is cute.

Shavon, I really like the new avatar. It is cute as a bug's ear.

evening folks...got the chores done and am waiting for meat to thaw...yup gotta love planning those meals! Sure like having kids to fill the wood ring! I think he even likes doing it!

I usually want to be the one hunting but on my FIL lease I think I will take cooking and such duties so the kids can spend time with the grandpa. Besides...I get to nap!!!

I like that photo Les - that little chick is looking at you as if to say "Hey Mac - which way to the brooder?"

Are those little NN there in the back?

Well, if you are ever like 50 hours (

) southeast of your place, and it's the first or third Tuesday, and school is out the following Wednesday, then you can go to it too! It's in the Durant/Blue area, and is a great place to find 100s of birds in one place for sale!

So, Tara, can I tempt you with a outstanding pair of Orloffs

I'm sadly not going back out to the auction tonight, but if you really are interested, you should PM Dandellion and maybe we can get them to you

Were they deep rich mahogony red with the proper markings? I am really interested.

Sorry I didn't see this until now! I think I have Sherri's phone number (??), if you wanted to call her.
To me, they were perfect coloring!
Definitely rich mahogany red!

Hi Everyone, Dakota and Jessie are home from the hospital and Dakota is somewhat able to swallow and keep food and drink down, it hurts some but he is trying, wanted to thank everyone again for the thoughts and prayers, we do appreciate them. He will be home this week trying to catch up on his school work and regain his stamina, then hopefully he can go back to school Monday, all we know for sure is he had a severe viral infection of the esophagus and it became inflamed and got infected, the antibiotic and antiviral seem to have done their jobs, he goes in to his pediatrician Friday for a liver function test to make sure the meds he was on have not harmed his liver, thanks all and bless you all, Lynn
