BetsyOK...I don't know if you would want to be caught with that bunch of "LADIES". They were a rough looking bunch. LOL And if they started singing in the shower you'd get thrown out of the hotel for disturbing the peace. LOL

If you didn't see them you surely missed a sight. It was a hoot that night.

Joel Salatin has done it for about 20 years now. He winters his breeding rabbits and layers in a hoop house. The rabbits are in a battery of cages. Their poop and urine drops through the floor of the cages into the litter below, and the chickens scratch through it, composting it. I don't know what the chickens are scratching for. Maybe they like rabbit pellet.

I think folks are thinking about coccidiosis. But again, cocci is species specific. Rabbit cocci won't bother chickens, and vice versa. Weird. People have written whole books on the subject.

Good thank you! how about yourself??

Well, I was up at 5:15am because my body thought I was late getting up

However, I'm on vacation from the primary job, and am working the second job from 9am-4pm today, then am off until Friday

Might even be off Friday too, depending on the passive aggressive manager at the 2nd job. Woke up in a great mood, fixin' to put on the war paint (makeup)... other than that, just drinking coffee and considering skinning a kitten. New kitten (had it 2 weeks) doesn't want to do her "business" in the darned litterbox. Driving me batty.

She'll live though... she's cute. She just may end up living *outside*.

eta... maybe 3 weeks... can't remember. Got her from Okiemommy... maybe she'll know?

I'm horrible with time... I just now clued in on the fact that chicks in the brooder look so big because they're already 2 weeks old!

Anyone have an interest in some black ameraucana cockerels? The parents are Grace's show birds: black ameraucana hen & blue ameraucana cock.

Otherwise....

Edited 'cause I had the parents colors backwards.
