Go ahead and put them in and hopefully I'll be there on time. There is a chance I might not make it at all, and I wouldn't want to make you miss out on selling them. I think I have plenty for my project, but Soupy was a lone hatch and is lonely (not yet ready to join the big kids) so I thought I'd try to find him some company.

Good evening everyone just got in from a day at the auction and then to town to do some shopping with the family, I ended up buying 6 Barred Rock Pullets today and in this area it is a buyers market right now so hopefully you all going to Blanchard tonight get some great deals!!!! Quenston

OKCarla, yeah J is just about as broke as I am... he changed jobs a few months back and is almost caught up on everything now... takes a while sometimes when ya don't get paid for a month, then they accidentally mess up your first check

Me, I probably *could* go to the auction, but I'd end up with birds I didn't *need* and don't have space for... I need to build the coops already planned out, figure out how many of the EE and mutt chicks I'm gonna keep and which ones I'll give away or sell off, figure out whether I'm gonna phase the LF completely over to RIR or wait until my existing hens aren't able to do their jobs any more... and hopefully there will be silkies from the eggs in Monty's incubator (but I'm not holding my breath)...

So I decided not to go to Blanchard today... we'll go to Shawnee, by the time that rolls around, we'll know if we gotta beg somebody to bring some silkies to the auction for me

This has been a nice break from school. Our granddaughter, Victoria, has been with us and we've done a lot of chicken related activities. She's into collecting things, so we picked up pine cones and feathers, and then we put them together to make ornaments for the Christmas tree.

Here's what we ended up with. We made ten, and all the little faces are just a bit different.
