Your cages are in the magic poultry van - so I can return them to you. Please help me remember that they are there, so I don't accidentally bring them back home. And thank you, I don't plan to need to borrow them again at the auction.

Since there are a lot of rabbits that would be good meat rabbits listed on Craig's list for less than $15, I am guessing that this person is frustrated and wants prepared rabbits, but wants to see them live first. I wish I knew of a licensed facility for butchering rabbits. I only sell them live and let the buyer do their own butchering.

Good morning all!! I have been catching up on my reading on the board, but haven't had much time to post. Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the good information that is dispensed here. Enjoy the humor too.
I got my doe and buck within 10 minutes of each other Wednesday morning. Got the doe and DRT'd her, buck came in to check her out and shot him. He was a 9pt, but not a huge deer. Then I had my husband do the hard part of field dressing them.
You guys talking about hatching are making me want to turn the incubator back on. Must resist....

Good Morning evernone!

Cleo, good job getting them both at once. Do you bow hunt & will you go back to that or are you done for the year?

NN, I am so happy to hear that baby is going home. Will he out grow the nose thing??

Country how are you feeling??

I am done for the year.

My husband is still going to shoot a doe. He has had a lifetime license forever. I may end up buying one. Would be more economical in the longrun. I plan on making jerky out of the 2 I shot. The buck he shot had some sort of infection in his chest. When he was cleaning him he opened him up and pus came out in large quantities. Nasty. He was a big, heavy antlered deer. Field dressed at 162. We were scared of the meat because the infection was so massive. He put him out in a canyon and the coyotes won't even eat the meat.
On a plus note, I am making plans on segregating my flock in preparation for spring. Also need to let the chicks have more room. I have chainlink panels from the dog runs and pens they had and I am going to use those to separate pens inside the runs. Need to put another bag of shavings down today as well.

Hi, Al. Are you asking if I have heard from Muesky or if I'm going to Blanchard? I haven't heard from Muesky but have been wondering where she has been, and I had planned to be at Blanchard late (can't leave until 6) to see if I could snag more of Carla's turkeys but it sounds as though she may have them sold before the auction so now I'm not sure if I'll make it or not.

Well I worked my shift last night and turned around this morning and opened... I'm dead tired. I wish I could go to Blanchard, but I'm too broke. Another week before I know if I'm gonna have any foo foo chicks

We are on our way to take some chickens to the Blanchard auction. Jim, we didn't take the bourbon reds to the flea market. We sold an almost grown pair of black spanish turkeys at the flea market, along with lots plants that need to be indoors for the winter, and some of our chickens.

The 2 bourbon red turkey poults and 2 royal palm turkey poults will be at the Blanchard auction, along with some of our pairs of spitzhauben chickens, a pair of brabanters, and some miscellaneous bantam cochins.

I hope to see lots of ya'll there.

K.T. we could probably arrange a pretty good deal on a young tom for you
