Welcome to the funny farm Junebug!
P&B will be on soon with our official disclaimer...until then...what ya got and what do you need...more?...good answer we can help with that!
We need City to check in and make a list of those going to Blanchard after Shawnee or instead of or inconjunction with or...yeah...who all is going? I think I have to now that I got one of them there official invites! (Teach giggles as he fakes some one twisting his arm)
Les - late eighties! Wanna know what I was thinking and telling myself...(teach stops self from TMI-ing)
I am in Moore. I work on Saturdays (I work everyday) but anyway, I plan to sneak out the backdoor on Saturday long enough to run over to Shawnee for a few minutes...buy, buy, buy...then back to work before the inmates at my shop burn the assylum down. I am going to try to go to Blanchard later.
The most fragile bantams like the Silkies have their very own shed this year instead of a pen with housing and the bantam RIRs will go in there as well.
The layers are right by a hydrant so it's no problem keeping them in water plus I use one of the large black tubs and on cold nights it just does skim over. When I emptied it yesterday it only had about three inces of ice on the top. I also have it mostly buried in the ground which helps a bunch except for long cold spells.
We do have stock tank heaters but Hotshot and Red will pluck them out in half a heartbeat and toss them on the ground. Had Goldfish in a tank a few years ago too when Hotshot was a colt, yep he caught them too. We had a float valve on the tank so it didn't get low, he just went bobbing for fish.
I once saw a water system for rabbits that had a heating element running through it but I have not been able to find it again. It had the nipple drinkers instead of cups. The supply was a five gallon heated bucket.
They do make a heated fuel line for trucks but I don't know just how warm the water would be using that. An advantage would be that it runs off of 12v and is thermostated.
, Roy !! gettin you hoodlums tonight, they will go into the chicken Condo for the day just to spoil them for ya hehehe. I don't think I will be heading to Blanchard Saturday
