Robin a frostbit comb will start to turn dark at the tips and then it will slowly spread as to just how much of the comb was affected.

Eventually the affected areas will turn black and then drop off.

NN Mine are just about the same size as your whites. So I guess they aren't bad for bantams, but I would like to bring them down a little. Those whits are sure nice.I got to wondering today what a roo would look like if it was dubbed like an O.E.! They sure have huge combs and wattles.

Start breeding the ones you have down. It will take some doing but select only the smallest to breed from.

Here is a pic or two of my whites. Unfortunatly I lost the rooster a couple of years back but the hen is about the right size.

For a size comparison this is a Nankin bantam.

You have some nice looking birds. I like that roo"s big red comb.

I think he said tonight.

He showed up around 9:30. He took with him six baby guineas, two barred bantams, and a shopping list from me.

Bernard Kellogg imported a line of bantam NN from Germany back in the 70s that were bred down from large fowl and not crossed to get the size as many are. Sadly he passed a few years ago but I do know that some of this line was around here. I will have to talk to Ed and see if he still has some.

Do you live close by the swap at marys. I see Backguy ther i would like to meet you some time wen you come let me no. I have seen alot of your photos of your birds an looks like you have a nice flock. The NN games you postd about are hard to find.

The Serama has the wrong body type and it would take a long time to get that correct after getting the size down. At present I have a bantam Leghorn with the little white hen. Another good cross would be a bantam Rock.

We live between Cashion and Kingfisher. When Teva had a job where she didn't have to work on Sat. we would often start the day at Mary's and then swing by Old Paris. It's probably been close to five years since we have been there.
