Hmmm....is Santa's cell number close to yours?

Is this some sort of backhanded fat joke?
No she has Santa on a retainer.
Donna is connected.

Does Hooker have a Braum's...that's a good one, Monty!

It's okay, Teach - Monty's just rubbing it in that you live out in the middle of No Man's Land with No Braum's, No Walmart, No Nothing for 30 miles. But Hooker is the center of a 50 mile radius, so you got that goin' for ya Teach!!

Here is a picture of Corey's cockerel named Popeye which was the Best of Breed. He is really maturing quite nicely.

If you want some help offline, PM me.

Sherri, you and the girls deserve a big round of applause

Second and third in that showmanship class is great, too!

Betsy, BV is a great title to win at a Silkie show like that!

During one of my many treks around the show room, I suddenly froze... It was George Mahalik in person! I think if I ever had birds entered against him, I would pack up and go home

I'm sorry you had to sell so many birds, but at least you got some great replacements
big_smile.png

Al, I just have to know... what breed are you getting hundreds of birds in?? Or is it a lot of breeds?

Smith Poultry did have a great table! I didn't buy much (and regreted that fact later), but what I did buy was things I really needed, and at close to half the price I would have paid at the place I was going to buy it!!
Terry Britt is a great guy, I'm glad you got to talk to him!
Thanks for posting more pictures!

Cammie, I missed seeing you Saturday

That Silkie is really growing up! She is so pretty

Okla-doodle-doo (Wayne), your wife deserves a big congratulations!

And that is fantastic that you are planning to come to the next POOPS! But remember, the entry fee is one more quilt

Thanks for handling that for us! I'm sure she'll find them

That's exactly what I am doing. Right now I probably have half the birds I had at the beginning of autum, but come spring, I will be back up to twice as many as ever!

Donna, happy 25th anniversary!

That's not surprising. The smaller the bird, the worse the fertility rate. I have read they are about 65%. So far none of our eggs have been fertile. It doesn't stop me from putting every one we get in the incubator though. Ours are all Class As. If you get Class B or C eggs, you will be much more likely to get better hatch rates and they can still hatch Class A offspring. Seramas are not supposed to be predictable on colors or sizes produced.

The best way to get Seramas is probably just buying chicks.

There's my Stimpy!!

Stimpy - when you think of me, do you say to yourself, "Now that's the Center of a 50-Mile Radius." ?? I'm trying to come up with a Golden Feather title - some very kind and generous and wonderful person surprised me with one...and I'm looking for a title. "Loves Stimpy" is taken already, or I'd go with that.

It just so happens that I have a black roo that I plan to keep, but my list of silkies that I am selling is getting smaller, I had another kill last night this time it was a silkie but this time I know what killed it!!! And the verdict is Possum got him in the live trap so I have the trap line set out and I will get his family to.........

Hey Q - sorry the possum got a bird.

My little JRT Titus quickly killed a big possum a couple of weeks ago...but it must of been the jesus of possums, because the next morning when I went out to shovel it out of the yard and take it "down back" the body had mysteriously disappeared!! So don't take their word for it the first time when they tell you they're dead...

(edited to correct syntax)

Corey has really been wanting Cornish bantams! (I don't understand. She's a little girl. She's supposed to want foo foos.) She talked to the guy who got all the awards for the Cornish there but he told her he didn't sell any of his birds.

I was just talking to her about making connections although I didn't call it "sandbagging". She just needs to start using those baby blues and batting some lashes like she does on momma.

Al, it sounds like you are getting control of your addiction! Congrats on that and the hopeful birds.

Hi Sherri - congrat to your girls on their wins at Shawnee!

Someone at the April POOPS had a pair of really nice Dark Cornish bantams - I can't remember if it was Teach or TJ's Na-Na who brought them - but they were really cool! I think Pepper and Al are working with standard Cornish...
