OK everyone, Lets play "Rate Your Chicken Breeds".
You don't have to list every breed if you don't want to but do as many as you can.
Just list the breeds you own in order from your faves to your least faves.
Mine are:
1. Welsummers, 2.Marans, 3.Naked Necks, 4.Gold Campines, 5.Modern Game bantams, 6.Standard Game 7.Hamburgs, 8.EE's, 9. Color Crosses, 10. Leghorns, 11, Minorcas, 12. RIR's

I had extra tin's too! If you need some let me know an I will get them up there to you.

Thanks for the offer, I have some tins just haven't made any warmers with them.

Well maybe you can eat at Cheddar's when you are in Tulsa. That is the best part of having to go to the big city. You get a chance to eat at places you might not normally get to try.
Can you talk your church people into coming to your place for a building project?

Why are Barred Rocks numero uno? What makes you like them the best?

p.s. I like the Buff Orps best from what is on your list. I don't currently have any pure ones left just some that look pure but whose mother had a crush on a Gold Campine rooster.

sure I'll post mine while my students are taking their tests.
1.Japanese; 2. RIR; 3. Brahma bantam hens (they've gotten very pretty and easy to handle); 4. Brahma bantam roos (but I like their crow)

anyways back to my classes.

LOL Monty! I don't know when they will be done with this one. I was surprised that we were starting so close to Christmas!

I do plan to eat at cheddar's! I need to make a list of stores I am going to. LOL!!

I can't rate my hennies!!! If they ever got a hold of the laptop and saw it...I would be strung up in the coop!!! Unless maybe I had scratch.... I am trying to talk Mikey into going to Blanchard...gotta get rid of some roos..... I am so jazzed my hens are feeling better. They don't care for this 6 degree garbage..... but they are toasty out of the wind in the coops.

Gotta get Christmas cards done. Last year I did not even do them....I hate the things. You have to "assume the position" at the post office (*Hennies bends over...grabs ankles*) to pay for postage.

Barn I bet you and I could come up with the same time the school system went down the tubes.

Teach!!

My next "planned" chciken purchase will be some standard Brahmas.

Berry really liked the standard brahmas at the show. All the standard breeds seem like giants to us right now, although our rir are getting bigger!
Tanya

1. Black Star (I've had her longest, she's a tough survivor and she keeps all the others in line)
2. Silkies (even though they are only week old babies

)
3. Mille Fleur bantam cochins (project birds)
4. Tie between the "what the heck is that" mutt bird & Phantom the EE cross
5. Speckled Sussex

Next to acquire... either Dorkings, Buff Brahmas, or Partridge Rocks in standard LF size.

J & I talked about the Buff Orps but decided if the ones at the show were a "common" size, one of our 5x5x5 coops would only hold 4 max! Gosh they were HUGE.
