Okcarla, I am disappointed that the ee's didn't hatch better. I have 14 hens with one roo, maybe I need to get another. The Asils sure hatched good! Are they all the same color? I was wondering if the pullets and roo chicks would be different colors.

I guess my asils are bantams because they compare in saize with those blues pictured. Although my hens are larger. Those blues look young.

We have a small chance of snow in the morning. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Youngest daughter got rid of that darn Kiko billy goat. Now she wants some pygmies to keep her two fainter cross does company. I hope she doesn't get in too big of a hurry to get another billy. Nasty smelly things! That last billy loved to come up to you and nibble on your fingers... all the while peeing all over your knees!

I'll let you know if I run across any fainters. Do you want does, billies or wethers?

Thanks Dee! Oh, I'm sure wethers are better for pets, but I'm not too picky. I just want a couple of cute, really friendly goats that can't climb & be too obnoxious, and will hopefully clear all the briars & brambles & poison ivy that's growing on over half of my acreage.

Here's a youtube video of a couple of young fainting billies for sale in Missouri ... I emailed the lady that I'd love to buy them, but she never emailed me back. They are so CUTE!

I was suprised the EEs didn't all hatch. It probably wouldn't hurt to have another rooster with 14 hens though. That poor roo is overworked!

The Asil chicks are all a mahogony brown color with a more golden hue on their heads. Absolutely gorgeous chicks! And then those belgian quail are sure cuties ... all dark except for golden tuxedos & fuzzy cheeks.

I need to take pictures if I can ever get away from work. I think I almost live at work now. If only I could bring some chickens to the office to keep me company.

Our weather forecast sure looks like a snowstorm coming next week. Brrrrrrrr !!!!!! White Christmas ???????

I know what you mean. I like that I can come here and asking any chicken related question and it will get answered by an expert, no matter what that question is. I don't have to try to figure out which subforum would be the appropriate one to post it to.

It does make a nice gift. I am giving some to folks I work with. Of course, you would have had more to give as gifts if your daughter hadn't decided she wanted one of each flavor.

Okcarla , I forgot,Thanks for the card! Dw latched onto it,she said its the cutes kitty pic ever!Diffently the best card for this year!

Been reading on my other forum(a homesteading one) about the snows they are getting in Virginna and N.C. They already have from 6-10 inches in different areas. I can't rember the last White Christmas I had.

Hiya Stimpy,

Yes I am getting ready to go get Madison, she went with the 4H to incredible pizza and ice skating. She just called so I am off to pick her up! How was your day???

I managed to get the laying boxes cleaned out this evening! I also have a hen that has went broody! What is up with that??? It is winter time. I guess they don't care.

Basketball, Baseball, Boxing.

You guys got those right. Someone said softball and I did play a lot of competitive softball after college but I wasn't counting that.

The other sport does not require a ball and is very common in Oklahoma.
