Good mornin' Faerie,

Sorry to hear about your cat. I'm not a cat person, but I have pets and I know what it's like when they suffer.

-Stimp-

I apparently am just a big softie when it comes to the pets. Didn't have problems processing those chickens though. Also, apparently Rhodes is trying to hit up J and "convince" him to fill the food bowl. I just got a phone call about that... the only time he ever really acts like a cat is when he's hungry. I'm guessing he feels better. We'll see if he still feels better after I give him a bath tonight.

Actually that was one of the 2 reasons. I also named him Rhodes because he's incredibly smart (the Rhodes Scholar). I'm just lucky that he is incredibly lazy, otherwise he would be an unholy terror.

I have a cat and not long ago she was acting weird & throwing up after she ate ( I don't know about diareha since she goes outside most of the time) This finally stopped after she coughed up a hairball.......She is a short haired cat. I would put vasioline on my finger & she would lick it off.

If he's not better when I get up, I'm taking him to see our vet. If need be, I'll beg my parents, or post-date a check for Friday (payday).

What really bothers me is that I put his flea medication on him 2 1/2 weeks ago, but when I shaved his belly tonight (he's got hair about 3 inches long or more depending on what time of year it is) he has fleas again. I have to shave a spot between his shoulderblades to put it on otherwise all the hair blocks it, but I'm afraid he may be getting anemic.

What kind of flea med did you use? I noticed a few years ago and tried it again this last year, that Frontline DOES NOT WORK. In fact, we ended up putting it on our cat every few weeks and could not get rid of them. My husband accidentally got the wrong kind, I use Advantage and it works great. When he got the Frontline all of a sudden we got fleas, I was bathing her and using a flea comb and couldn't get rid of them until I went back to the store and got Advantage two days later no more fleas. I love the ragdolls they are so pretty. Due to my allergies I have Siamese they are a little better on people with Cat allergies.

HOwdy!

I have bantam malays...I still need another ROO...hint hint hint...

This stupid cold thing ain't gonna be fun...we are talking of going ahead and cancelling school...we never do that...well almost never...it is better to do it before hand than after the fact. Gives folks a chance to find alternatives...but if we call one day...I say we call both and have a long weekend! I have so much I could not do!

Stimp - my wife says the same thing about me concerning the lazy and smart and not doing anything...concidering how good looking we both are we might be related!

Glad your dogs came back, Carla. They sure do like to wander. I'm finding electric is the only way I can keep them in. It isn't too hard to set up. I figure if I can do it, anybody can.

Thanks Jim! That's exactly the instructions I need! I was only going to run one wire around the property, but now I might go ahead and go for 2. One about the height of my dogs noses, and one low where an animal might attempt to dig under the fence .... but will have to go buy more wire and insulators and more ground rods too.

Well, I went outside today to feed all my critters and its a beautiful day... The horse has learned how to paw until she gets our sliding gate open to the barn in the coral... Spoiled I tell you... So you have to feed her first... 3 of my goats got out and tried to get to her feed... Thought my pregnant mare was going to paw one of my mothers-to-be to death...not good I tell you...

Got My Dark Brahmas moved to a pen that has a heat lamp.... Moved the dogs inside the barn where they will stay warm... Got my first egg from the blue andelusians that my husband bought from our last sale that he spent $18.00 Each for....

Moved all my quail, baby chicks, and baby ducks inside the house... Gave the silverlace wyandottes, that I got from steph, a pedicure to get all the poop balls off their feet...they loved that..

So I got all my critters ready for this cold spell... Hopefully they will survive....

Now I have to start preparing us and the house... What a chore....
