I can hatch eggs for you a lot cheaper than that. He is asking $50 to $100 bucks just to hatch them? That is extremely high.

It was actually $50 for up to 100 EGGS.... but that still sounds a bit high!

Sooner - You still around? What's it doing down there?
Is beginning to drizzle here, so must be on its way.
They won't let the kids call from school, so am running
back and forth trying to listen to the "lousy" local
radio station. They had told them that school would
be let out when it started raining.

Y'all southwest of us, sounds like it's gonna be a
rough one. Please be sooooo careful with heaters
that you are using indoors. We should all have
carbon monoxide alarms as well as our fire alarms.

Stay safe and check in as you can. So far, all is
OK at Tahlequah.

there was another offering these services, custom tractors, custom incubating at $1 chick but you only pay if they hatch. however he said he was limited to 30 eggs.

not really bad if you consider the time, electricity, especially if i only paid for the ones that hatched.
i could definitely go for something like this once i get more eggs coming in, one less thing to worry about as long as i get back what i give them could be a long lasting relationship, i understand all the fun in it and would keep my own still going but for higher production numbers i could outsource.

I think that paying for hatching eggs in ROOSTERS would be a win/win situation. My eggs would be hatched and I wouldn's be sitting there looking at a dozen roos and wondering what on earth to do with them.

Sorry. I guess I read it wrong.

I got my camping stuff ready too Al . Plus my big cast iron pot I can put on the fireplace.
I made a big pot of stew this morning plus cornbread and since the oven was already hot i made a big pan of brownies too.
Fried chicken does sound yummy. I fixed some on Monday but I know I could eat it again today. I love fried chicken.
We are gettting some ice build up on everything. I hope the power holds out though.

All my birds have feed inside a coop and I think that they will be fine until this stuff stops. I am not going to worry about liquid water since it will take some time for their water bowls to freeze, since it was still above freezing when I went out early this morning. It is too slippery outside and I am worried that a fall might damage more than my dignity

Jeannie's son was bidding on a male duck at Blanchard. It went for about $16-18, as did the full sized ducks that went through later. Maybe you and Austin need to decide to order some hatchery ducks and the odds are you would have some colorful males within 6 months and you could sell the extras. Of course, you could have the kind of luck I have and have them sell as adults for less than you paid as ducklings.

I got my Meyer and Cackle Hatchery Catalogs in the mail this week. I love looking at chicken catalogs.
Ideal and Privett don't have the color catalogs any more.
McMurray does but I haven't got theirs yet this year.
