Will you consider a hatch of naked neck chicks to sell at POOPS? I think I would like to try a half dozen pullets, but don't really want to order from a hatchery (unless it is the Miller & Miller hatchery in Kingfisher

)

Also, if you are able to bring some more Malays, then Teach can stop complaining and I won't have to try and get some eggs hatched so that I can share with Teach.

The weather has put me behind on getting breeder pens set up but I will try to bring some NNs. I think I may have a few of last-year's Malays but I will have to check. I do have a pen full of Wheaton Malay pullets but I don't know just how the quality is on them.

After my second surgery I was cut from temple to jaw, I bruised all the way the way to my chin. I told everyone I got in to a fight being a bouncer at a strip club.

I remember that fight. I was dancin' there that night. Tips were lousy !

That is why I became the bouncer! But after after the bar fight and the scar it left me I stick with chickens and goats!!

Good morning OKies!.... It is raining and snowing here and it is yuck outside. My yard and pens look gross. It needed to dry some before this storm came thru

I noticed everybody posting about feed. I use Shawnee Mills and am not real impressed. I go to S & S feed store in Shawnee for my chick starter though. They carry United Suppliers in it and I couldnt be more happy with it. 20% protein and it has porcine meat and bone meal. I am in the process of looking into United suppliers non medicated chick grower and their layer to see what the protein and ingredients is on them. S & S said that they would order whatever I wanted so long as I order 20 - 50lb bags or more at a time.

I think the correct phrase is "darn near laughed out of town".

I doubt there are many serious scientists worth their salt who don't believe climate change is happening.

I like Bluebonnet feeds, even though it has Soy in it there is a broad range of ingrediants in it too.

Here is a link to their site and they are in Ardmore. http://www.bluebonnetfeeds.com/

Tractor supply has the brand but they don't adjust prices to the market as everyone else does.

I do not like either the consistancy or the color of the Shawnee Mills feed. Plus the amount of trash in it is unbelievable. Sometimes it looks like there are different feeds mixed in with the chicken feed.

On MFA's website, they have some nice monetary incentives for 4-H and FFA prize winners! The kids get a $1000 for the winning calf at the Missouri State Fair on a calf.

http://www.mfa-inc.com/web/guest/youth/4-HandFFA

I know in this neck of the woods that for every tag collected off of the MFA show feed they will donate $1 to the kids 4H or FFA club.
That is a pretty good deal nd can add up to some serious bucks.
