Thanks so much for all the input on my cochin girl- hubby and i were hashing over it, decided what we will probably do in the long term is have 2 pens with more docile hens, but for now i am playing it by ear - i let her out to free range with them and we'll see how it goes-

meanwhile- i made a BIG mistake....went by orchelns... they still have SLW, Astralorps, Sexlinks, some banties and Ameraucana/EE's...which i got 3 of them, says they are docile breeds- so maybe they can be buds for pj eventually- was looking for cochins, but they didn't have any

That would be great if Cement's barn gets additional space! So the show could be bigger? How many birds were actually entered this time.

I think Jason mentioned that it was around 400 birds since they had only one judge and he could only do 400 a day. He also said when I asked if he would include LF next time he said probably not, I do commend them for putting on a good show.

AL

I really wish they would add in the APA recognized breeds, too

Even though Large Fowl and Waterfowl are bigger sized than bantams, there are not nearly as many of them shown, so I really don't think it would add in that many pens to make it an APA/ABA show

No RIR should throw a black chick.... Give him a little bit, if it should have feathered legs then it will be a little difficult to see the black fuzz on an new baby with black legs while still in the bator drying.

If it doesn't have feathered legs and stays black and is a cockeral I'll take it off your hands.

must have red ears or gypsy faced.

Yep, I am looking for a rooster. Round about 6 lbs in weight. Prefer mediteranian (leghorn/Andalusian for example) or American game build.

Hum, what do you need an Addalusian type rooster for? I have a gorgeous Black one, that I kept out of a clutch of eggs I hatched, to show.... but it seams that more show are Bantam-only now days, so I don't "have" to keep him....

I don't go to the PROM!!! Well...as long as I ain't a sponsor

I am working on that for our prom. We only have two boys in the Junior class and they are the ones that decorate and such for prom. I think they would go for it...a few hay bales and such...no fancy dresses or tuxes

Teach, is basketball over. I know Tyrone beat your girls out but what about the boys?

Oh yeah and tell your class since you talked to me that they all get 15 free points where ever they need them most.

I think I might get these kids on the honor roll yet!

I think they ride horses to the prom at my old school. We never did that because we didn't want to make our dates feel bad.

We sure had some pretty horses back in the day.

Ok smarty pants what cool things did you have at your prom?
Besides you of course.

Or was your school to big and cool to even have a prom.

the white ears is what I am trying to avoid, as it is difficult to breed out. Do you have a photo of him?
