Thanks Stimpy! I'd be glad to come.

I had the opportunity to be up on top of a mountain in Daisy, OK, when one of those big thunderstorms rolled through. That was one of the most awesome (and probably stupidest) experiences I've had!

There is a mountain top north and east of Solomon's grave that we call the 'phone booth', because it's the only place for miles around where you can get cell reception. I was making a call from up there one night during a storm when lightning struck a tree about a hundred yards from me. Scared the crap outta me. I came off that mountain as fast as that yamaha would haul me.

Stimp,

That is our neck of the woods. (Doc and Peaches)

I love the area around Cloudy. There is NO phone service there, never have to be bothered by telemarketers.

Snow! Oh no!

Doc was asking me earlier if I had a black or blue Americauna rooster for sale. Don't you raise some solid colored Americuanas?

We are glad that you were able to borrow a laptop, so you can visit.

Nighty nite. Hope you have a good night's sleep.

Edited to add that I'm headed that way also.

But why do you want a white rooster?

Quote:
I do two weeks.

The reasons I want a white rooster is A. because I seen one on ebay from a seller who had them and he was gorgeous and B. I would like to develop a splash ameraucana. Wouldn't that be awsome?

Thanks for attending last night. Next time, slap the old man (Doc) and tell him who you are so he will know your face. He WILL forget you name but not your face.

I wish I could see their whole bodies. Are their legs a greenish color? They might be Ameraucanas..

There was no way to get a pic of their bodies. They were fast little buggers... if I moved my hand to get a pic of their legs, their legs went to cycling so fast the pics all came out blurry. I'll try to get better pictures tomorrow with the big camera.

I spent tonight ripping out 4 very hard won rows of knitting on that danged shawlette. I'm pretty sure the kiddos didn't need to hear that language, so I waited until they went to bed. J darned near got himself stabbed with a knitting needle (or garroted, since it's a circular needle, I like having multiple options) when I was working on fixing it and he decided to come sit next to me and "cuddle". Yeah. That didn't go over really well.

I know it's latent frustration from lack of bottle babies and the failure of my willpower to prevent me from buying chicks (8 total, 4 RIR from Lumber 2 yesterday, 4 that might be silver campines or sicilian buttercups from Atwoods today). But whatever it is, it just proves that this Faerie doesn't read directions very well!

So far each kid is consuming about 16 oz. of mixed formula ( or less), twice a day. Per the instructions on the bag, I mix 3 oz. of powder to 16 oz of warm water.
I asked Jerry whether he would have the LaMancha doelings at the next Blanchard auction and he wasn't certain he would have them by then. Apparently, all of the lady's sheep haven't lambed yet, so the doelings are keeping their mamas in milk until the lambs are born. We saw Jerry at Mary's yesterday and he had some other bottle goats, but they were also bucklings.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't available when I could get them. That would be the way my luck normally works

Probably should use this as a reason just to work on the plans for converting a shed, and not do goats until next year. But that's not what I WANT to do

Are you allowed to have goats where you live? Here they are really strict about the goats, you can have horses, cows, chickens and pretty much anything else, but no goats. I asked why no goats and they said because they jump on peoples cars.
