I buy my feed from our local Co-op. Sometimes they dont have what I am looking for and I just end up at Atwoods... Sometimes I end up at Atwoods anyway

I am collecting Partridge eggs to see for a test run in a few days.
I have some mixed mutts set for my uncle. I also have ameracana/blue splash set & a whole mess of bantam eggs! I sure hope the weather turns so I can make a place for them........

Needless to say I will have some babies for P.O.O.P.S.

Well quick post before heading to bed. Today has been a rough day and I ready to sleep. Having trouble with Cackle Hatchery. Since I am trying to diversify my bourbon stock I ordered from three hatcheries. Purely and Nature had no problem with the combination of turkey and chick order even though do not state on the site they will combine I called and they said they would. Cackle states you can use poults to fill out your order to the minimum then today I get an email that it does not include orders of bantams and I need to order standard size. Only standards I have is favorelles and I already have 6 coming from Purely. Is anyone interested in some polish gold and/or silver laced bearded if they can not work with me.

My cat of 11 years old passed away when I got home this evening. I was grateful I got home on time so she did not die alone. So I am really sad about that on top of still kinda feeling sick from last week and run down. On top of everything we have another opossum.

Looks like tomorrow night I will be sitting out on the porch with the gun.

Well I guess that is enough of the pity party. Tomorrow is another day.

Oh and Stephanie I will take 4 bags if you have them to sell. That will get me by for a month when mixed with the scratch. Guess I need to go pick up another metal trash can to store feed in. I tell my chickens they have to eat from a trash can everytime I fill their feeders. Surprisingly they do not seem to care.

Time to hit the sack. If anyone is interested in standard size chickens let me know and I can add them to my Cackle order.

Hey all~~Vern and I are going to try to make it to Blanchard this Saturday...save us a spot...we will be there a little later than usual...Vern has to work in the morning/afternoon that day.

We worked all weekend to install 6 foot chainlink fenching for the chicken run. It looks great! I am so proud of us, but I am so sore today! I fell asleep on the couch for an hour and a half and I am still whipped. The things we do for these silly birds!

I'm going to order some Oxine AH because it's supposed to be excellent for many purposes, including egg wash and disinfectant and can be added to drinking water, etc.

Anyway, I've been searching online for the best price on it, and so far the best price is at Revival Animal Health for 19.99 per gallon, if 4 or more gallons are purchased & then shipping is around $10, maybe a little more if more than 4 gallons are ordered .... so the price for each will be around $23 or $24 at the most if I order it & get 3 others buyers?

Anybody want to go in on an order? I only want 1 gallon. I'll probably place an order in a day or two.
