Jim,
It is very thoughtful of you to tell us about the cages. I don't need/want them, but if I did - it would be nice to know that someone would help me secure them.

I bought two hole cages similar to those at an auction about two years ago. 80 cages for $18. The ones I bought must have been designed for parakeets or something, they had so many places you could hang a feeder or waterer. I used them for various purposes, like stacking other cages on them to get the other cages off the ground, since the droppings would fall all the way to the ground through the small cages. I also cut pieces of wire off of some of them to mend other cages. I traded some for other cages and gave a bunch away. Hubby was a bit dismayed to have to haul all those cages to OKC for me, but I had a lot of fun with them - even though they weren't worth much to me as actual bird cages because everytime I put a quail or something in one, I would find more places cut out of the cage that the bird could escape from.

My drug of choice for water type medicating is LS-50 but it is pricey. About 30 dollars a bottle. It comes in dry powder form and you use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water and use that as a sole source of water for 7 days.

I get mine online form Smith's game bird supply out of Ks. because they offer overnight shipping and when you call them you actually talk to the owners of the company.

I have a packet of the generic LS-50 on standby ... Jerr-man, if you need it I could have Gerald take it to the auction & you can have it for what we paid for it, and I'll order more.

Thanks Carla! But I'm working also.

Well, I know you need your sleep after a 12 hour shift, but we probably aren't too far from you .... just across the river from Mustang. Oh and speaking of Mustang, the Crosby Ranch store sells LS-50, but I think it was more expensive. I paid $22.95 at americanlivestock.com

I guess I should feel lucky ... I only work 10 hours Saturday night & Sunday night .... then starts the new week.

Is the auction at Blanchard inside or out and can someone tell me if it is just a poultry livestock auction or do they have like a lot of misc. Stuff to sell first? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect if we decide to go!

Now that my mood is thoroughly ruined through nobody's fault but my own, I'm going to go to bed. I've gotta take the kiddo to get her shot in the morning, then I'm going to get my hair done like I've not had it done in oh... 6 years? After that, the auction. I might have time to post between all that, but I make no promises. Night y'all!
