Remind us periodically what kind of birds you are still looking for. It is always fun to locate birds for someone else, so they are the ones spending the money and we have the fun of the "hunt."

Hi Okle chicken Luvrs!
I want to invite intrest and enlist help to start trying the challange of the Oklahoma City Ordiance. I want to work with the Chicken Fanciers here, and am trying to reach as many as possible. Please contact me and let's get something going.
I also have a couple of Black Australorps and White Rock pullets needing to go. They should beging to lay at any time. I may have one White Leghorn Roo, of him I'm not certain about. He may be a she. I don't want much, $8.00 each for them. I am wanting to get a really nice Ameracona pullet maybe two. I don't want green eggs. I want blue eggs. and I would like to have one of the hens that lays the chocolate eggs, is that the Marans? I luv this what a down to earth this chicken thing. I am so happy sitting on a stool watching these pullets singing their songs. COOL!
I do need to know how much support is out there for us to go to war? let me know!

You have found a wonderful group of folks here, some of whom live in OKC - like myself. I have more than one acre, so the prohibition on poultry doesn't apply to me, but I certainly understand the need to get the city ordinances changed for those who have less than one acre.

There was an article in the Oklahoma Gazette several months ago about someone who was starting a petition to get the ordinance changed. I saved that article and will find the contact information in it and send it to you. There also may be another thread on BYC that was started by the person who is trying to organize support for changing the ordinance. Good luck!!!!
