Mornin' Okies. My dad decided to take my mom and my daughter to get their allergy shots this morning when I mentioned that my headache hurts bad enough that my eyes are watering.

So I'm going to attempt going back to bed. Talk at y'all later.

I am going to try and make it to Cement today, just not quite sure yet. A very good close friend of mine passed away yesterday and I am heading to town to visit with the family and hang out and try to help. I have known this fine man for 20+ yrs and we were pretty tight, he was only 45 and went in his sleep. so this hit close to home and get's one thinking about alot of things.

So sorry about your friend

Really hope I get to see you at Cement tonight, though.
You are right. Death at a young age seems to happen to people we don't know and when it happens to someone we know well, it causes us to reassess our own priorities.

It sure does Marybeth, I have been struggling with this thought all day and night, my heart is heavy today. I need my chicken Bro's to put my mind in a better place.

If Carla is already getting lots of turkey eggs, I am jealous. I have yet to find a single turkey egg.

I just put 18 in my 'bater on Tuesday.

Of course, the hens came from Carla's stock. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Yes, anything from Carla's stock is bound to be healthy. What breed do you have? I don't mind being jealous of your birds and turkey eggs

My Narragansetts came from Carla also. Maybe I need to start looking for a nest

Marybeth : so how do you think Cement will be tonight, do you think they will have more birds and stuff this month ??.

Well I have a guy coming to pick a transmission this afternoon so I had better get out and get it pulled.

I went out to do it early this morning but it was so nice out that I just sat around and enjoyed the time when the light was just breaking over the horizon and all of the roosters were greeting the day.

I don't care where you live but our sunrises and sunsets are some of the most stunning that there is!!

I'm not Maribeth but Blanchard had more birds than I have seen there since last summer, so I'm guessing Cement will be up, as well. Seems the fever is starting to set in.
