Grace and I made it in before 9pm. Got the outside stuff done, baths and fell into bed.
I can't say enough to everyone that had a part in putting this together. If I started naming names I would miss someone so I will just say A+++++ job to all. I do want to mention a special thanks to Al and Donna for making the day REALLY special for Grace. I will let Grace make her post and she has access to all of the photos so she will post them as soon as she can.

At first I said the original POOPS would be the greatest poultry event, but six months later I decided for sure that the second POOPS was........Now I've come to the conclusion that yesterday's POOPS really is the best!!
I sold more stuff then I had at either of the previous swaps, and I didn't buy too much

It's so hard to say a particular part of the day was the best, because it was all soooo good! But, a part that ranks up there at the top, was my surprise graduation ceremony! As I told people all day long, "I knew I was graduating, but I had no idea I was having a ceremony here!"
I was able to send two pair of BTW Japanese, 7 ducklings, and 10 chicks off to great new homes. (And several dozen eggs).
Chanel 4 news was there, which was another great surprise. And I think it is great that we were able to get chickens in the news again!
It was great to visit with so many old friends, and make so many new ones too! Doc Henry, Regina and Doc, Michael D. and his daughter (who I wouldn't have got the raffle set up in time without!), and Wayne were a few of the people I most looked forward to meeting - and they were all even nicer than I expected!
Besides over a hundred Okies, we had one member from Tennessee and one from Kansas join in the fun!
Robin had some wonderful cards that I had to buy a variety of, and Carla sent me home with two dozen bantam hatching eggs, but mostly I left with a camera full of pictures and great memories! (oh, and enough money to feed my remaining birds for a while

)

Pictures to come!!!

I just got home a little bit ago. I couldn't quit talking to Teach Henry and Doc Henry ( is there a Lawyer Henry or Chef Henry in their family too?) although I am sure they wish I had so they could have left. They were about to pull out around one.
Long drives in different directions for them so keep them in your thought and prayers.
I will be back on later to catch up and make a proper post but for now. . . . .

Kronk say Thanks and may time of bright shiny sky be nice.

Thank you, Maribeth! I did like the way we set up the raffle this year.... well except for the fact I needed twice as many ticket bags! I hope it went well, I would have loved to stay and see the finished product, but we had to get back home and there was a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us.
Although my ceremony was a complete surprise to me, I'm glad that I was able to share it with you all, too

I'm so glad you were able to come, and we would be glad to have you join us again!
Sorry about not getting the leg bands to you, I had them with me, but they were in the truck and I never even thought about them until on the way home!

Thank You To Each And Everyone Came Our First Auction Saturday! It Went Rather Well! We Will Be Having Another One The First Saturday In June!

Hope Everyone Enjoyed Poops And Had A Safe And Fun Weekend!!! Maybe Next Year We Can Go

Well we are finally at home. It was a long and bumpy ride. I hope the eggs survived. I-40 westbound is AWFUL. I can't wait to get the eggs that I bought into the incubator. Tonight is candeling night, so I hope I have room for all the new ones. I may have to figure something else out. Got the geese out of their cage and filled the little pool up. They seem A LOT happier. They were preening like crazy. The leghorns are a little scared right now, but I'm sure they will settle down. The cochins are still in their wire cage for now. I have to get the other cage set up, but I needed a rest break. It is hot out there and I am completely worn out. Jordan is cleaning the pickup out now and when he is done, we are headed over to help with DH with the remodel. I hope everyone is doing good today. I'm sure you guys are pretty tired also.

I keep thinking of things I wanted to say after yesterday:

Thanks to everyone who bought raffle tickets (which was most of you), and a great big thanks goes out to Al and Michael who were the raffle's biggest buyers!

Thank to Monty (Kronk) who cooked some fantastic meat!

Had a great time at POOPS and will definately make them for years to come. Never had to be a auctioneer before so it was quite an experience. Hope everyone enjoys the cages and show boxes they received.

CITY CLUCKS SAYS

"Jeannie and Maribeth - I would like to make appointments with each of you to sit and chat next time!"

I went to go find you to let you have your turn with the baby and alas you had packed up and was rearing to drive off into the sunset... so glad you made like you did and got to stay longer than a few hours and YES we have to make appointments and visit...

"I'm interested in knowing who went home with the two Silkies (black & white) that were in the raffle (did you get them Kathy?!), and also who won the Frizzle Cochin cockeral that was in the raffle (his name was Elroy when he was at my place - quite a personality, that one.) "

BYW: remember when I jokingly said I wasnt going to sit next to you or Al this year since last Fall Jason and I didnt win anything except for you two winning everything... because this time around I wanted to win... well I won 4 outta the 6 raffle tickets I placed sporadically throug out the raffle bags.... and I won your two Silkies
