The old "Round Hole" on the Kiamichi was the best fishing hole for a hundred mile around. Grandpa put his foot thru the bottom of his home-made wooden flat bottom and nearly drown when it capsized. His leg was caught in the bottom and he was under water for an eternity before he got freed.

I wrote a short story about my Grandpa when I was a kid growing up if you ever care to read it.

Heck yeah, I'd love to read it.

I tease on here that Peaches is working me too hard and that we never have a free minute. That is not true and I want to set the records straight.

Peaches does 99% of the work that gets done. She is the one that sets up the auction, does the books, greets everyone, cooks, cleans, feeds the animals,

does the laundry, tends to the boy (75% of her day), washes the trucks, cuts the lawn, goes shopping and hundreds of other things daily.

There is a good reason that her name is Peaches, it is so appropriate since she is truely a Peach.

Hello all.

I feel like all I do anymore is lurk around here. It has been a long couple of weeks. I have been sick for the past week and still working 12-14 hour shifts.

We are still going pretty good on the house. I have a question, though. Since we are updating all the kitchen cabinets and changing the layout of the kitchen, I have lots of extra cabinets. Would it be possible and easy enough to convert one into an incubator using the thermostat and heating elements off of a styrofoam incubator.

I'm thinking of trying it, but I'm not sure it will keep steady temps. I am currently running 3 styrofoam incubators. Two for baking and one for hatching. It would be much easier to have just one, but then I always have the option to convert more cabinets.

There are several in the garage. I have extra styrofoam insulation, plexiglass, and cabinets. What else would I need?

Evening Everyone,

Just letting ya know that we maybe outta phone and computer service for a while in the event our phone line gets cut during the installation of our new Septic System... happens to be the area where our septic will be placed is close to the underground phone lines... In the event it does go out I know you all will be ok and will be able to carry on your usual posting selves... Just remember to miss me if I do actually go and dissappear for a period of time... please know that I will miss you all dearly if it does go that route and we lose our home phone and DSL connection...
