Yep dead as a door nail.

I guess if I were home more I could post more.

Went to the show today, got to see Grace & Dad, TJ's Nana's crew, Dandi's crew, modernman & yonderoak & hubby! It was great to see everyone. I will let everyone else tell you how they did because I can barely keep up with myself much less anyone else. Madison black cochin roo is the only one that did any good for her.

Bad news when I got home, MIL got put in the hospital today. Not sure if it is a heat stroke or what at this point, waiting on more info from DH. Good news grandma is getting better everyday & will start rehab Monday.

They do seem a little hard to find so maybe $25.00 isn't all that bad if you want them bad enough.

Al with the beautiful weather we all have been outside enjoying it. With Teva and I we had to get about 2 tons of steel to scrap out today. Prepared #2 steel is going for 200 a ton and I figure that we had better get it before the price drops!

Bj was scoping them out more than me .i only like the big birds with plenty of meat on the bone.

Your probably right Les, I was out getting after it most of the day myself. I agree get the prices while you can before the bottom drops out of it, does sound like heavy work though.

PM either Cuban Longtails or Splitsocket 222. They are sharp on those birds. For good quality birds I would expect to pay around 75 for a trio and up.

A good bantam Shamo will go close to six pounds at maturity. Those Orientals are heavier then they look.

these felt pretty heavy.this guy always has nice birds.these have some little picked looking places on them but most of them ive seen look like that.their combs were all really bright red he had about 40 chicks out of them for sale for $5 each close to 3 weeks old

Hugs and prayers to MIL, Grandma and your family taking care of her. Be sure to get some rest for yourself so that you don't wind up in the bed next to their's.

Since Madison shows cochins, you may know who all has bantam cochins like ajosdad is looking for . I gave out the name of the principal Oklahoma County enablers, but we certainly know how to transport birds from corner to corner of Oklahoma and points beyond, when necessary to fill each other's wish lists.

Good night -
It is really nice outside right now. There is a "breeze" and the humidity isn't as high as it was this afternoon.

A guinea hatched today - my first this year. I am going to see how it looks now that it should be dried off. It was 3 days late in hatching (yes, I finally changed out the wafer thermostat this afternoon

) but it can keep the chick with splay leg company. I got some of the infant vitamins w/o iron yesterday and am going to try those on the chick. (did I mention that it appears to be a blue pullet?)
