Permanent protective order in Oklahoma is 3 years. Are you sure yours is for eternity?

That's an excellent deal depending on the quality!

We have one with chicks right now. She's a pullet and went broody quick. She's an awesome mom. He's a great dad too. Cute little family.

We got home late last night from the Eufaula show. Stopped for dinner and found that I had lost my debit card. We nearly took the truck apart piece by piece and still couldn't find it. Put a temporary block on the debit card and it hadn't been used so that was reassuring.

Girls did good. Both got a Reserve Class Champion. Corey with her Birchen MGB Cockerel and Liz with her Black Wyandotte Bantam Cockerel. Considering the time of year of this show (breeding season!?!) I think the chickens came out pretty good. We took mostly males cause most of the girls are either broody or have sparse head feathers.

We came home to our first 3 Golden Neck D'Uccle chicks. They were in the r-com (only holds 3) but the big incubator will be hatching very quickly.

Wait a minute! I wasn't expecting them just yet! I just checked. They all three hatched on day 18!

he is growing fast- and i promise i'm not giving him miracle grow! he is totally different than any of the other birds, and quite a snuggler- almost as tall as the ducklings now, really need to do some of those early pics- not sure what he is yet, him or her or breed

Sorry to hear of your MIL. Hope she gets better real fast.

Congrats on Madison's Black Cochin again. He's a consistent winner!

Thank you Dande!! Now if I can just get some babies out of him. He got a plucking last night as well as the hen, so I will give it a few days & see if I can get some fertility!!

How did the girls do?? I saw them get ribbons but wasn't sure what they got for sure.

Wayne my prayers are with you & your MIL, I know that it is difficult & I hope she has an enjoyable stay. Congrats on the new NN! I had planned to send the one (since I didn't have one to go with him) I had for you also but time got away from me with the trips to the hospital & graduation & everything else. No worries, he will be here so maybe next time!

That's what we keep thinking about Corey's Birchen MGB and Liz's Black Wyandotte Bantams!!!

I'm about to get to pulling. I'm going to have a few unhappy birds between fertility issues and damaged feathers from traveling to the show...
