Goodness gracious! All the snakes in Oklahoma must be reading BYC to find out who has chickens! There used to be a big black ratsnake on my property, but I haven't seen it for a long time...maybe it caught a bus to your place Dandelion...

Poco Pollo! You are my favorite Okie in the BYC today! Thank you so much for offering to make a trade and for bringing a cage full of pullets for me to choose from - and for making me feel better about thinking that little blue chick might really be a guy. I hope he turns out to be a pullet after all...

Poco is smart ya'll. She brought a whole cage full of Marans pullets for me to choose from - and of course I couldn't just trade one-for-one, I had to get at least two! It's a good thing my little crate was so small or I may have taken home more. While Poco was carrying the crate-o-clucks back to her car a a van pulled up and the people asked if she had roosters....

I hope you made a sale Poco. It was great to see you and Victoria. Thanks again for letting me trade and for taking the time to meet me today!

We're having the snakes and the coons this
year like never before. Wish Teach wasn't
out of pocket. TJ caught a little guy the
other day and Bill said he had never seen
one like it before. Then, yesterday...TJ
caught the mom snake going into the nest,
thankfully in the snake catching rod-with-a-
cord deal.

This thing has a tiny little head and stays
little down about 2" behind it's head.....
then flairs out about 1" wide, but flat....
down about 3 feet, then goes back to
a skinny little tail about 3 inches long.....
and the whole thing is kinda flesh
colored...............

Anybody have any idea what this thing
is??????????? As far as Na-Na......
there are two kinds of snakes I can't
abide.........boys ones...and girl ones.....

Really sounds like a Glass snake, which is a legless lizard and not a snake at all.

Our baby chicks are due to arrive I think any day... funny how you fix an order of chicks for an earlier date from another date and cant remember what earlier date you requested recently... I guess it wont matter any how..


City Clucks: The silkies I won in the raffle that were yours... them two, the one P&B Gave to Aleisha(a baby) our OEG baby are bonded with the raffle duck and our only remaining mallard duckling... I think they all think they are like each other... see birds of a feather really can flock together.. ha ha ha

Fixing to leave this Friday to pick up my kiddo's cant believe its been 3 weeks since I seen my kids...

but I know they have fun when they can visit my sister in Cali and my brothers in CO.... Plus I look forward to slave laboring them when they get home... its hard to slave labor a 3 year old .... especially on the big jobs ... ha ha

I'm with you NaNa! And if they come in anything besides boys and girls ,I don't like them either!Lol. Tell that boy to be careful out there catching them critters. Dang kids aren't afraid of anything!Worrys us old people to death!
RoHo is doing great! Even Brenda said he sure has pretty color!

How much longer before NaNa gets to go to the lake? Bet you are counting the days.​

Jeannie! I can't believe Aleisha and Austin have already been gone 3 weeks. I know they missed you, too. Have a safe trip out on the road this holiday weekend!

I'm glad the Silkies you got from me are adapting into their new diverse and integrated family... Have you figured out their gender yet? I thought maybe the black one was a pullet and that the white one might be a cockeral...
