Late morning everyone!

Well got good news and bad news from the air conditioner guys. My air conditioning unit is fine but found out there is an electrical problem. Easy fix if I was willing to do it my self (which I am not). The people I bought the place from did some crappy jerry-ridging of this place so I guess the electrical was not off limits either.

Someone, at sometime spliced the aluminum cable from the pole to the copper cable of the house and lets just say halfa$$ would be a compliment.

So here I sit waiting for the electrician to come out.

I think I want to back and get my electricians licences. I can do plumbing, carpentry, tiling, etc but electrical is one thing I know so little about and I hate not knowing how to do something. Ignorance is expensive.

Ok I will stop my tyrate.

Today is Friday and the beginning of my long weekend until summer school starts. Looking forward to going to Newcastle tomorrow. I wonder if they will have peacocks. I am needing peacocks really bad...

Hope everyone has a good day. Going to go take a nap. hehehe. Fortunately even though the air conditioner is not working my place is nice and shady and only about 79 degrees in the house. Even when crap happens the powers that be seem to still watch over me.

Welcome to the best group on the web. Lots of knowledgeable folks and crazy chicken enablers. Jump in and have fun.
I am Hi-Jacker, married to QueenPeaches and we have a son named Montana but is called "HotDog"

Saturday is auction day at Newcastle that starts at 4PM. It is a new auction but the folks already have a
lot of experience in their auctioneer and have been to many other auctions to see how things should and should not be done.

Tomorrow is also the auction at Cement. It starts at 5PM and has been there for more than a year. Location is the key to where
you want to be.

It is common to use Aluminum wire on the big gauge stuff like what comes from the pole and to the house. Using big copper line would be cost prohibitive. The way it's attached to the copper line of the house is important and is usually done in the main box.

Have you ever tried the Prague auction for Peas? Last time there were plwenty there but this month is the last one till fall.

Les,

I'm in need of medical information. We have a couple of chickens that have a lump in their sinuse area that seem to be perfectly healthy
but we can't get rid of the lump. Can you think of anything that can be done or is there anything to worry about?
We have tried LA200 and water-soluable antibiotics. Neither seem to have any effect. What is youyr opinion?

Hi-Jacker

Where in Newcastle? I might drag my daughter with.

A lot of times when they get a resp. infection a hard cheesy stuff will build up there, sometimes one can gently massage the area to get it to break up if it doesn't go away in time.

There could also be a forgein substance in the sinus cavity, I pulled a wood chip out of one of our birds once. Look in the front corner of the eye.

I am now in the business of selling eggs.

I have an order for 18 dozen chicken eggs and 40 - 50 duck eggs today!

The guy said that he would take every egg my hens lay...

Any Idea what to charge for duck eggs for eating?
