Wayne Nashville is on the list for a girl trip, would of been this year had we not had the deal with grandma! We were wanting to do the whole music row thing. Maybe in the fall or next spring. Sure don't want to come with this heat!

I totaly agree but that Napa valley and Sonoma valley trips were fun and cool too. Yeah and it is cold up that way, the last time we went to their beach I had to wear a sweater. They live near the north Bay area in Marin county San Anselmo.

I have two week old peachicks (blue india peas ) I was thinking about taking to Fletcher this weekend. Just wasnt sure chicks would sell.
Oh heck yes!!! Bring on the blues
. With peafowl I am not picky about color or anything, they are all beautiful to me. I would like to get a variety of breeds just to have them strutin around the place. As I have said before. Nothin says class like having peacocks strutin around your mobile home.
. Probably a sign I need to get my lazy carcass out and get some work done. Sure do not want to though.
Have a bunch of wood to stack. Been going after it with the chainsaw lately trying to get the place cleaned up. Work never seems to be done, if you all know what I mean.
Al I have three pair of millie fleur d'uccle I am bring to the auction tonight. Not much else I am willing to get rid of. Have a bunch of standard size partridge cochins but I want to hang on to them for a while longer.
Just to let everyone know all three of my pear trees and three of my apple trees are covered with fruit this year, so we are going to have an over abundance of fruit. It will not be ripe for another month but when it is if anyone is interested let me know. Hopefully the walnut trees will start dropping around that time as well. Also I am looking for pear and apple recipes. May have to try my hand at canning.
guys does anyone from my side of the state ( eatern state line) ever make it to blanchard or fletcher auction ? , if so i would mind making some arrangements to get some buff laced polish , they are hard to find over here
I suppose that with the auction and all, it is going to be a quiet night here. I am sad that we can't be with you all--but I honestly think that with whatever it is that we have going on in our flock, that it is better to not expose anyone else's birds.
Today was a hard day. We lost the Delaware that looked so much better yesterday...she died sometime during the night. Then, as I was cleaning the coop (my weekly cleanout) I noticed that my only cuckoo marans hen was not hanging out with the rest of the flock, and when I walked up to her she barely tried to move...she just looked a little bit uncoordinated and slowed down. So I isolated her in a small travel cage--basically a different approach since what I have tried to do previously didn't seem to help at all. Anyway, I set her up in a shady spot and gave her water and some vitamins. Her comb was so pale, a bleached out yellowish-pinkish color. She seemed to appreciate being left alone all day. Then, at 2pm I checkd on her again and she had died! I am so sad...we have lost so many of our beautiful hens.
The little Polish pullet is hanging out in her cage--no worse, and no change. She got some polyvisol and I have watched her all day--she preens, eats like a piglet and is drinking lots. She does sleep quite a bit.
Vern and I tried to work on the turkey pen today, but we ended upo finishing up tons of odds and ends today--which helps get things more streamlined.
Well, I will have to wait until later to catch up on reading the posts from today. I am starving and Vern says we can go get supper out! Yeah!!
Hey I made a Maccaroni salad (with Heathers Help) for supper, had a busy day, went to Stillwater and got feed and groceries and Dakotas meds so he can go to Falls Creek Monday, came home and did seven loads of laundry(Dakota still has a few loads of his to do), helped do chores, went out in my pasture and doped up eight red ant hills,
