Had a nice relaxing time at the Fletcher Auction... even bid on a few birds and brought them home.... although I was told I didnt buy enough

but hey I did end up with a few foo foo birds from Micheal after the auction was over ... ha ha ha

Here are pics of my White Legged Red Gamefowl!!!! I love them, wish the Cockbird had less white in his tail and I wish I knew what strain they are but I bought them at an auction and didn't get any information on them, I love them though!!!! Lynn

Hi, Well I am back from church camp. ( Falls Creek) Then had to run up to Chandler to judge a BBQ contest then to over by Seminole to meet my folks and pick up Jared.
Juat got home a bit ago and took care of the chickens. I lost a few juvies while I was gone. Not sure what happened. With all the rain we were having when I left Monday I figured I would lose a lot more. But I guess they were smarter than I thought and got inside.
I hope everyone is well. I gotta go back and check the posts and see what I missed.

Hello all. If painting the cabinets white diminished the resell value of my house, I killed it today. I got the bathroom painted. It is JET BLACK!!! Everything that goes in the bathroom is bright white and the tile is B&W checkerboard.

Monty it is good to have you back. Jordan heads to Falls Creek on Monday.

Last year, I had a pen of birds with the same symptoms ... slowly dying and with pale combs. I treated them with ivermectin pour on and it cured them! Mine definitely had mites on them, as I found out the hard way of getting those tiny little devils all over me when I caught each of the birds to put the drops on.

Speaking of mites, this has been a bad year for me on battling spider mites on my redbud and my newly planted pecan trees. Those pesky mites suck all the juice out of the trees ... and could eventually kill them. I can't see the mites, but they leave webs looking like spider webs on the leaves, especially the new tender leaves, and they eventually shrivel up & die. I've been using NEEM oil on the trees, and even on the birds occasionally, since it is a biologically safe insecticide. NEEM oil is great stuff, but doesn't have long lasting insecticidal effects, at least on the trees it doesn't. Hee hee, I'm so funny. I'm really glad no one else can see into my backyard else they'd have called 911 this morning while I was weeding the garden...I got into a big slap fight with myself...time to get some different bug spray I guess.

Well it looks like I'm the next to need help.

One of my hens is acting strange. She is lethargic. Her nostrils and eyes are clear. I found ants near her vent. She is also thin.

Anyone have a clue?

thats what i am battling with mine too, so a couple drops is it done routinely or just once? I can't get any of the ivomec till wednesday, but for now have dusted them with sevin. Do we need to not eat the eggs for a couple weeks? also, i do have wazine, would that work?
