Sorry I missed you as well! I made it for a while. Came in around 7:00 and left around 9:30. My husband, daughter and I sat towards the back. Can't sit with the leg down for too long and had run a few too many errands prior to getting there. I will be more prepared next time.
Drew is very interested in going back. We just got a new-to-us used garden tractor and he is thinking about taking his old one to the auction. It needs a little bit of work but still has some life in it for someone. He was also thrilled to see the shotguns....he'd be back just on the premise that there could possibly be a good shotgun by there.
I'd like to get a couple of cuckoo maran hens but would sure like to meet up with someone there that could help me know what to look for. Want to make sure I get good ones. Was very interested in the feather-footed ones that they had last night but we didn't get a number and as it was our first auction, it took me a bit to figure out the whole bidder's choice and x's or 8 thing. I was really confused at first, but then the light came on.
You guys will have to post some pics so I will know who to look for next time.
Look for folks wearing T-shirts with roosters on them. Several of us were wearing them last night and I think you walked right by us, at the table in back where we were sitting. Is your knee brace black and your daughter fairly young? The shirts are neon green or light blue or navy blue and say "People of Oklahoma Poultry Swap" around the rooster. Some of would have LOVED to help you bid at the auction. It is much more fun to spend someone else's money.
That was us!! Good to know about the shirts! I'll be on the look out. I love spending someone else's money too! Sadly, I haven't found anyone that has any yet!
