I might also add for you okies if you ever have a hard time finding feed I mix my own feed and sell it I buy feed by the bulk in 500-1000 lbs, I currently use a half feed to meet success on all my birds think of it as a Flock raiser. But i mix anything you need 28% protein to 16% for layers. I cannot promise I am cheaper then the stores but I rougly charge 10-12 per 50 pound bag of feed. everything i have blended is my own recipes I will post an example when I copy one and i will edit

I'm planning to go to the Afton Poultry Swap this Saturday. Is there anyone out there with information about selling at the swap? Is it mostly birds? Do vendors get put in some particular order, or is it a free-for-all? How early in the morning does a seller need to arrive to set up? I called the two numbers on the Afton Poultry Swap website, but nobody answers the phone. If anyone wants to go with me, I'd love to have company. I had hoped to have my old farm truck back by now, but it's more likely I'll have my Matrix, which can haul a lot of birds if the back seats are folded down. If you want to go and you've got a better transport, I'll pay for some gas.

WOW, that's pretty special! I know what you mean though...the one girl that knew chickens at the Tractor Supply in Edmond has moved on to a better job, and those that are left are clueless. I have even asked for lay pellets because the floor display was out, and an older man (employee) asked me why I couldn't just used medicated chick feed. I-yi-yi! I did tell him why, though, and I hope he didn't try to do that to someone who didn't know any better. At least I didn't have someone try to sell me something that would kill my birds as in your experience.

So what happened to the cinnamon roll place in Okarche? Did it go belly up or move someplace else?

Not really sure its a donut shop now here is a feed ratio for my birds at this moment I am about to blend 500 lbs of 28% grower and 500 lbs of 17% layer rations and 500 lbs of a 19% flock raiser soon it gets expensive I lost most my feed in the storm so I got to re up
