Hey Matt for the chciken last night. It was very good. I appreciate all the trouble you went just so we could enjoy it.
I think you bought four of my chicks last night.
The red/brown roo is a Welsummer, the barred one is a Welmarans. It is out of a Cuckoo Marans hen and a Welsummer roo. I thought it was a rooster but different people last night told me it was a pullet. Let me know when you know for sure.
The buff and the black are both pullets and are just cross bred chicks.
Thanks again,
Monty

Wow, wow, wow! What a week! You know I've been busy when I go 5 days without even turning on my computer
roll.png

My county's Fair was this past week - an event that always takes a lot of my time/energy but never more so than this year since I was the Poultry and Rabbit Barn Superintendent!! I worked 45 hours in three and a half days (yes those numbers are accurate

). There were some late nights and early mornings, and there were also some people who were very hard to deal with, but I actually enjoyed 90% of it

My birds did well, as did BYC member Daldellion007's

I'll post more results, stories, and pictures later

NN I must tell you I am amazed at the growth rate of the naked neck just yesterdaym bird was so tiny now he is one of the biggest roo's walking the yard.

LOL See I keep telling ya'll all of the atributes of the NNs and it is rare, but not unheard of, that I would embelish the truth.

Imagine a NN crossed with either a Hubbard or a Cobb. (the two main strains of CornishX)

Does anyone have an idea on the going rate for a pair of white frizzles? She is laying good, I recieved a few in an order and raised them now I have no idea what to do with them. Anyone looking for frizzles?

Didnt get any roo's but the leghorn. Must have been a choice sell or i lost on the bid. and Its no problem for the little treat guys I just wanted to do something nice for everyone.

I can take em off your hands. Not sure the going rate for hatchery stock if thats what they are but I have a young girl here in Kingfisher looking for 2 more so she can show a trio next show season.

Hey doubleostud, if they are frizzle cochins i may beinterested in some.

Okcarla, are you the one who has the silkies? My wife loves them silkies. She was very disappointed that them black Silkies got pulled from the auction before she had a chance to bid on them.. We have a partridge pair, one blue/splash pullet, a white hen, and 2 checkis which are two young to tell what they are.
