okcarla...who was the fat ugly dude standing next to Gerald? Gerald is my "sensor", not censor. When I tell a joke...if he laughs his tail off...then I know its funny. I have been on here a little...I mostly just read, watch and go "WHAT...???????" I have been reallty busy with kids birthdays and I have 3 or 4 hundred babies so I spend most of my time in front of brooders! Hey Michael....does anybody hear from Sam anymore? I didn't know if he got completly out or what

Kansas State Fair is ongoing and I just wanted to post some pics for MichaelD and Macy. I think she did really well when you consider she's going into molt.

What breeds of chickens/turkeys/ducks/guineas/ etc are you raising?

The kids took 6 birds total and all 6 placed. DS's was the highest with the AOSB. Not at all sure on DD's other than knowing they all placed 1st or 2nd and for sure a RV for black Silkies. Will have to wait until they post results.


DS's sure the only thing that kept him from GRCH over all is that his poor Sumatra's going to look like she was dragged around the yard by the end of the week.

Our catalog for Shawnee came while we were gone. Decisions, decisions.

Is 10 birds too many to take?

There were about 450 poultry and rabbits in that barn, so yes a lot of competition. But attempting (though I didn't quite succeed) to keep all those animals watered made me want to go back to "just" caring for my 15 pens!!
