Robin - be sure to keep your virus protection on - the warning that your system gave you was for real - my virus protection deleted 9 "bad" cookies last night after I had been on BYC and before the site went into maintenance mode to find and fix the problems.
I agree, an email tree would be nice. Some folks called Al and he wasn't near a computer, so he called me and by the time he reached me, I had already had my computer lock up and when I restarted it, I couldn't get into BYC and while we were talking, the message went up on BYC that the site was down for maintenance.

Missed getting my BYC fix before bed last night

I had to renew my virus protection last night. Been a few days with out it and recieved a trojan. Thankfully I caught it in time to quarantine and delete. Everyone might want to do a virus scan just to be safe.

well, i use a mac, which supposedly are virus safe since the virus' are designed for pc systems- i'll do a little research though-

i definitely have byc as a regular routine every morning and nite-

Really appreciate the headsup. I did get a message from my avast, but ignored it as it isn't very effective and I thought it was one of those popups that want you to buy their virus protection. Also, we have malwarebytes, which is effective. I just finished running a full system scan, which found and removed four infections!

I am gonna guess BYC got hacked but it has good solid programs defending it and the mods did a very good job catching it heres the actual warning I have some of the best virus protection one can find things rarely get by me. I am posting this to let you all know it was a attempt that got threw then was caught. Safe Browsing

with they start messing around with BYC. This is a great place and those idiots need to leave it alone. The owners are a great bunch of people and have set up a great site. Sorry, didn't mean to rant
