Maybe since they are hitting more auctions people will stop dumping sick birds at them and the quality of stock will improve. If A.I. is going to show up it will be this time of year as Ok. is on a main flyway for migrating birds.

The Department of ag comes to our sale every other Month and test our birds at Fletcher. I invite their presence at my sale. I have bought sick birds before and it isnt good to lose them. I think it is great that they do test.

Sooner, You are so right! I am a wore out puppy!

Thanks to everyone, who came out, also all the folks, especially the BYCers that pitched in and helped out. I appreciate you so very much and to know that I can count on you is a blessing.

Had a great sale tonight. I dont think anyone went home hungry. We had plenty of food.

Once again thanks so much!

I plan on being able to do this again on our 2nd anniversary. We arent going anywhere. We may be small, but we are here to stay.

NN, I just went to take pictures (not sure how good they are) but can't post them until I go back to work tomorrow. My desktop is down & this poor laptop takes forever to get anything done.....it's so old.

Peaches glad you had a great sale....did you take any pictures this time?

I actually had a photographer there. She took 186 photos of the event. She saved them to a SD Card and gave that to me. I will go thru them and try to post a few later.

Must have been quite the blow-out. I think you wore everyone out and they are sleeping in this morning. LOL

I have had quite the productive weekend so far...I managed to finally get my house spotless again and am slowly finishing up the laundry this morning. Worked on my chicken run quite a bit yesterday too. I am hoping to finish that up here soon! My to do list says to finish homework which will probably get done tonight

So all in all I have been one busy lady! I have no idea where all my energy has come from but it feels good to finally get some things accomplished and scratched off the list that has been patiently giving me the stink eye lately! So more coffee for me and off I go! Have a great day yall!

sorry that my phone cut out on my yesterday when we were visiting. I can text and read BYC on it , but I haven't figured out how to avoid hanging up on people, what to do to stay with my current call when someone else calls in and how to avoid erasing my calling log when I am on the phone so I can call back again.

I for one did sleep in, wasn't planned just didn't get up when I should have so not o head out and play catchup for the day LOL
Update on the hen with the swollen eye it is much better she still has a knot between her eye and beak just a small bump but the eye isn't swollen or running anymore so still not sure what was or is wrong since she still has the bump something sinus maybe? she has never acted ill of went off feed or anything. I'm getting 5 eggs a day now from the 5 Barred Rock hens I'm collecting them all for the incubator and have been free ranging the others every time I am going to be here and out where I can keep an eye on them, My neighbor sold the two husky dogs he had so the chickens are a lot safer out now than they were before,
