I have about 45 chicken eggs and 5 duck eggs that are at least fertile (they made it past the one candling I did at 10 days) due to hatch. I've got some eggs from all my breeds, and some more that aren't from my birds. I am not even sure how many breeds I have in that incubator, but I'm guessing 30!

Do you want chicks? I've got a great variety hatching this week.

Oh I am covered up on chicks, ducklings, and poults, I may be a pushover with my daughter but more chicks I cant deal with. I would like for them to at least be feathered out if not point of lay, would make it much easier on me.

She would probably like some silkies or some polish - something that is interesting to look at but totally worthless for anything but eye candy.

P&B, yep she would be happy with silkies or polish, or cochins or EEs, I would be happy with hens, I have enough roos as it is. One of these days I will tell her no, but its hard to when I can use her as an excuse to buy more.

I have lots of silkies of different ages. My breeders are pretty much all show stock, but their chicks are anywhere from pet to show quality. I also live not far from you--equidistant from Cleveland, Mannford, and Sand Springs. I have white, black, blue, partridge, gray, splash, lavender and porcelain. I don't have any lavenders for sale yet. I'll bet she could find some she'd like from my flock. My show quality birds are mostly young adults. I also have showgirls in several colors. Silkies are ideal for kids, as they are soooooo gentle and are very easy to tame down. Maribeth, they actually have very tasty eggs about the size of "small" eggs. I can't bring myself to eat them if they are fertile, though. Usually have a pen with all hens, so we do have some to eat from time to time.

There is a reason I allow Jaxon to attend auctions with me

I can't tell Jaxon "No" when it comes to birds and Papa doesn't seem to care how many we get if they are "for Jaxon."

I can bring it out. The netting only takes a few minutes to set out. Uses plastic step-in post. All you will need is an energizer of some sort. The one I mentioned is for larger animals. Birds don't take nearly that kind of jolt. I was just thinking if you have to buy one...

If you buy one that isn't portable, we will need to run a wire out to the netting, but I have some extra wire and some rebar posts.

Just let me know. I know where you guys live. We can get you going in no time.

Sorry you are going through all this. I've had a few experiences the last few days where I found out people I thought were friends, weren't. That isn't easy to take.
